Hi girls! Is is better to get an Orchiectomy before SRS to increase breast growth timeline or to wait till SRS to ensure better tissue to create my vagina?

No orchi if you can afford it. Less scar tissue down there to deal with if you decide to eventually get SRS.

I asked Doctor Oates the same question a month ago and he said it didn't matter. He stressed the elasticity of the tissues involved, and how the penis and testicles dramatically change size constantly.

I've heard that if you have a surgeon that does srs do it, then your chances of it being in sync with the creation of the vagina.

Scars nowadays are hair thin, unlikely to be an issue in most cases.

Good question!

I think it's possible that an Orchi will accelerate penis atrophy, leaving less to work with and less depth for a neo-vagina. So I wouldn't let too much time elapse between procedures.

That said, I am not a medical professional and would urge you to get guidance from a reputable surgeon.

Good luck,
Sherie

I think being able to stop taking Spironolactone and finasteride is worth the risk of penile atrophy. Really time on spiro may equal any atrophy anyways.

Thanks girls for all the thoughts 💁  It is a mixed review with all I've heard here and there.  I don't want to have to take a large dose of spiro but it seems I will, till I speak to my doctor.  I want the surgeon to have all they need for my vagina.  My testicles have always been extra large, so it be a shame to not utilize all they can.  I'm not sure what the timeline should be on srs.

Sufficient levels of E will suppress T, so an orchi is not required to drop antiandrogens.

I know it can but my endocrinologist won't push things that high. There's a lady in my local group who said the same thing but she uses injections. She has her E at 400 all the time. I take estrace oral. Within a few hours mine was down to 55. Anyway I've wanted them out since I was like 11. I even planned doing it back then myself. Fortunately I didn't or I would either not have my kids or have bleed to death.
