Hi my name is Rebecca Anne (I prefer just Becky) I have been lurking for a bit but it is now time to come out . I share a familiar story as being MTF and I am also officially on HRT and have been for 6 mos now. I am lucky to have a good GP (in my mind anyway) and I did see a therapist a couple of times which ended up being a non event (more on that later in the other sub-forrum). I need admit to that before the 6 mos of official HRT I did the DIY thing for 4 mos but I switched over to being official by seeing my GP which has been a great thing. I feel better and the results have been awesome - at least I think so. I am not 100% out of the closet but I am working on it. I also present 100% male at work but that is going to need to change as it is getting difficult to hide some of the changes if you know what I mean. At home I am just me. Sometimes girly sometimes not it just depends on the mood of the day. I do get to work from home which is time I truly cherish. ;)

As far as my transition is concerned I am still in process and have a long way to go but I have started. I am currently going through Laser hair removal and will start Electrolysis in a month. As far as the rest of it goes I am still sorting that out. Normally my attitude would be "Man the torpedo's full steam ahead." but this journey I have started on is a life changing event and I need to be 100% sure. When i say 'life changing event' I mean the full package and all that comes with it all the way through GRS. If I could find a therapist that would listen instead of preach I would be more comfortable with my thought processes.

So for now I am Becky and it is nice to meet you all.

I have run into the same situation - I am MTF and not out at work yet, and when I walk into other areas there I notice quite a few people doing a double-take as I walk by.  At this point I am thinking a full transition will be less disruptive.  I wish the world was more accepting of people with ambiguous gender presentation - society is gradually improving but it takes time.

See you around the neighborhood!

Thank you all for the kind welcome. I wish the world was more accepting too. Given the latest news headlines I fear we still have a long road to go. I have caught people at work taking a double take but it is mainly my breasts that they are looking at. It is interesting that the women smile from time to time. I just picked up some sports bra's to start wearing but i am not sure how long that will last. I am presently a *full* A cup soon to be a B. I need to start posting on other forums.

Have a beautiful day.
