Hi All,

Gonna be waiting a few months before I can start HRT was wondering what tips people could give me for giving my body a more feminine look for example is they any particular workouts that helped you tone your body, also thinking about waist training.
Currently I have started shaving everywhere and just want to be as ready as I can to start hormones.

Hi Robin,

Congratulations on making decisions and getting ready for HRT.  I can relate as my particular endo had a two month waiting list but I remained in line because she has a great reputation.

For body shape others will probably come up with a bunch of things I don't think of but my initial thoughts are... it depends.  :)  Cis-gender people have a wide range of appearance based on genetics, age, weight, etc.  And I bet you already thought about all that.

A tummy can be difficult to flatten because exercise in that area tends to build muscle and that adds bulk.  I think the main thing is watching your weight carefully beforehand and then letting HRT help with shape once you're on it.

I have been self-conscious of my upper arms, I wish mine were thinner.  From what I have heard I will just need to be patient and let MTF HRT do its thing over the next year or two.

The thing I have consistently heard, and has worked for me is focus on aerobic exercise and definitely not lifting.  I like to run.
Assigned male at birth 1963.  Decided I wanted to be a girl in 1971.  Laser 2014-16, electrolysis 2015-17, HRT 7/2017, GCS 1/2018, VFS 3/2018, FFS 5/2018, Labiaplasty & BA 7/2018.

Make up is probably the cheapest an quickest way to feminize the face.

Some ciswomen do voodoo magic on their faces.

I would suggest to lose weight (my diet - eat less often, I shred pounds on 1 meal a day diet). And exercise - yoga or pilates or plain muscle stretching & cardio routine (buy some Zumba workouts and copy ladies' moves in front of TV). I don't think you can do much more than that with a permanent effect and without hormones.

Quick non permanent ways to feminine your body.

- Grow your hair longer, which allows you to style you hair in a more female way.
- Get your ears pierced, a pair of hoop or dangle earrings..
- shave your legs, pits and arm hair, if required chest hair.
- grow you finger nails a bit longer and wear nail polish, even a clear coat gives your hands a more feminine look.
- Wear some makeup, even if its just the foundation, also going overboard on makeup can be a giveaway.
- make sure your face is clean shaven.

These may not have the same affects as HRT, but for someone just having a quick look at you as you walk past.. you may even pass.
Enjoying ride the hormones are giving me... finally becoming the woman I always knew I was

To add to Noleen,
Watch how other women move.
Start wearing your girl clothes when out and about. It really does help you to feel more feminine, and how you feel translates into how you look.
