So this male to female isn't socially transitioned, but everyone at work knows about it and she has been on hormones about 2 years. Yesterday at the register when I was checking out a customer the other mtf was standing close by and the guy said you and "him" resemble eachother, so after the customer left I asked a male coworker about it and he said god no that's like comparing night and day, your beautiful "he"isn't. How could that customer say we resemble eachother if I pass and she doesn't? Because not even 10 mins after the customer left another customer walked up and saw us playing around like we was argueing and the customer said dude (to the other mtf) your not going to win this argument, your the wrong gender. So like I asked How can we resemble eachother if she reads as complete male and I read complete female? Please don't attack me for making this thread, I simply made it because I wanted to vent and not to make fun of the other mtf because honestly me and her are close since we started working together a month ago.

Resemble can also means like the siblings who share the same traits. Hard to know without knowing how both of you looked like. It could be just that one facial feature that for some people seems very prominent?

1. The customer noticed something in you that made him thought you may be MTF so sayed you resembled your coworker in a sense that both of you are MTF (even when you're not physically similar).

2. Again the customer noticed something, and just tried to be mean or catty.

3. The customer took both of you as FTM (rare, but possible) or androgyne.

4. The customer found out any other resemblance.

In any case I think this person view both of you as physically look-alikes.

So it's pretty probable that he would have seen any other resemblance between both of you, as if you were siblings, or both very slim, or something like that.

I wouldn't get too upset over this. I really doubt the guy was outing you. Maybe he noticed some small traits that both of you have. Just like everyone has a idea of beauty that can also work with how others look at resemblance.  If he was trying to out you he would have called you Sir or Dude. I don't think my brother and I look alike but people have said we do. I don't get offended by it. Someone who tells you you resemble a guy aren't necessarily trying to out you. I wouldn't worry about it. People tell me I look like sci-fi characters all the time. The wraith, Stahma Tar, etc. I don't bother getting offended anymore.

It is just wonderful that you have a close friend where you work. This friendship is a very precious thing. Nurture the friendship carefully.

I'm a 65 year old male who has been thinking about SRS for many years.  I also was a  full cross dresser for a few years.  I wear a bra, pantyhose and nail polish daily because it just feels right.

Started HRT April 17, 2019.

Me and her are getting electrolysis together in a couple weeks, it was her idea. I havnt had any treatments done, but she's on her second. I told her I was worried about money and told her the highest I'm comfortable paying is $250 a session and she said that if I don't have enough that she will pay the rest for me. So I'm kinda nervous about that.

No, honey, you are not a transistor.  You are a transformer.  You are on your way.
Me, on the other hand, i am a transistor.  Still trying to figure who I am and trying not to be.

I think one can be pretty or passable and also have masculine characteristics.  Perhaps this is what the customer thought? Or like the other poster said, you could look like brother and sister and still appear different genders.  The customer could have also known you were trans, and thought you were hot - but thought that the other trans girl wasn't attractive so he was mean towards her and not trying to be derogatory towards you.

Where I am from there was only a handful of trans girls.... a prostitute, a girl that worked at a college and did drag, a drag queen and myself.

The one that was a full time drag queen was/is my arch nemesis- every guy I wanted to date she had already been with because she transitioned before me... I from the get go always thought I was lightyears hotter than her, but there was this one guy who constantly told me I was ugly or not as hot as her.  People say stupid stuff sometimes like this dude-- perhaps he was just having a little crazy that day lol.

People say stupid stuff all the time. I wouldn't take it seriously. Maybe that person has really good transgender glasses, and the person just spotted the right signs (unconsciously). He was doing it to be mean or something, but I doubt you look like her. I'm not going to ever look like Katelyn Jenner... nor are you, you look like Paris Hilton third cousin or something.

It was a very Regina George move regardless.

I was told I look like a bunch of people in my life (it changes with month and my style). I take it all lightly.

Madonna can pass as a Gwen Stefani look-alike back 1995. Looks can be change instantly, it's not hard to create a new face/image with a few tricks.

Or this

or this (this is an accurate picture of her natural beauty when she was 30, she has dark hair and full eyebrows)

All my life people have said I look a lot like one of my sisters and my mother.  Maybe a little more these days.  I'm on low dose and haven't transitioned.
