YAY 1.  Well, after starting on my own nearly 22 months ago, and after going through hell the last month trying to find a way to transition into regular HRT, I finally am on my way.  Friday I got "hooked up" with a biodentical pellet in my butt, Spiro to last 90 days while we evaluate and adjust, and sublingual estradiol for a week while the pellet kicks in.  Maybe now I can enhance my calm.
YAY 2.  My wife and I stopped at a mall to look around on our way to the clinic Friday.  We were in a shoe store looking at some shoes for my wife and a clerk came up from our back quarter and said "how can I help you ladies".  He then moved more to our front, made eye contact and said "Uh, sir.  Sorry".  I just smiled and said "that's OK".  Devil that my wife is, when we left the store she said "well, how'd that make you feel?"  Then the two of us cracked up and laughed for about five minutes.
So see, some days are crap, but then and again there is a good one if you just hang in there.  Best to all of you, Toni

9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.

Hi Toni.

Congrats on the transitioning transition.  I'm hoping this all in being monitored by a real live doctor or endocrinologist.
If not I urge you to find one.
In regards to the shoe boy, I'm sure his initial greeting felt great, I know it does when it happens to me which isn't much but I sure it will happen regularly somewhere down the road. As for his "sorry sir" it would have been more diplomatic to not say anything if you were in anyway presenting female. If you weren't then just enjoy his chagrin of discovering his faux pas.

  Hugs,
   Laurie

Thanks, all!  I just thought maybe it'd lighten someone elses day as well as mine.  I wasn't really presenting anything on purpose, just sort of androgynous femme with new girly jean shorts, a nice pink T and sandals, painted toes, ear rings and a pony tail and my pirate logo cap.  I'm 5'10" and 145 lbs., light upper body so easy to mistake without seeing my face.  Laughing about this from time to time is really good medicine, and I'm so fortunate in having a wife of 40 years (a real girly girl) who still wants to be with me, and she makes me laugh a lot.  Yes, I'm under a physicians care and he seems excited to work with me and despite some bumps out of the starting gate, we are now on the same page and I can't wait to see results in six months which he promises will be good.  Hope so.  Toni
