I've seen putting on some extra lbs/kilos seriously suggested as a way to help one's bust grow, and wondered if anyone has really tried it, what changes in diet work, etc.

Since starting HRT I cut back on my diet (still try to eat fairly healthy though!) in the hopes of providing my body some material for breast & hips, so I'm definitely getting more calories than I used to. Unfortunately most of my fat goes directly to my stomach still (I think that might be starting to change, though!). I changed my exercise routine from using my treadmill to focusing on belly-burning exercises.

I can say that putting on weight definitely helps with bust growth. I've been on hormones for just about a month now and I can already fill an A-cup comfortably. This may be dependant on age, activity, and how quickly you gain weight though. Only a year ago I was in great shape and weighed 160lbs(72.5Kg), but due to a change of jobs and drastic change in activity levels while struggling to adjust my nearly 4000 calorie diet to compensate I quickly went up to 180lbs(81.6Kg) in a matter of months. So while I struggled with diet and going from nearly 16 hours a day of heavy activity to 8 hours at a desk my stomach slowly expanded as I lost muscle and I started to to develop "man-boobs." After starting HRT my bust has rounded out more so it looks less like "man-boobs," but it's probably not really that healthy to put on nearly 30lbs just for bust growth since it's impossible to focus on what areas you want to get rid of and I'll probably lose some of my bust as I work to get my stomach to go away. (fingers crossed that the hormones keep me from losing too much up top though)

I'm around 160 lbs too and lost about 60 over last winter.   :'(    :)  Nice timing, I'm only on month 2 of HRT.  I used to have a nice stipend coming in every year from inheritance that could have allowed me to transition fully in a big way, too, it ran out last year right before I realized who I was and now I have to budget carefully like all of us low income earners.  Thanks for nothing, fate!   ::)

I've seen a few pics of pretty flabby MTFs who looked to be developing more than the norm for young kids, who seem to all be complete beanpoles, no surprise since being rail thin is an obvious way to downplay a big frame.

I have thought about putting on a bit of weight to help my breast growth, but I don't think I will.  Not that I don't need the help: I just about cried when I didn't come close to filling an AA.  But, on the whole, I am happy at the weight I am (150-ish lbs).

I like the fact that I almost have a figure.  I am getting a little bit of curvature in the hips and, if I remember to suck my gut in, my shape looks all right.  I wouldn't want to jeopardize all that by having weight go back in the wrong places.  Besides, I have spent a bundle on replacing my entire wardrobe.  I wouldn't want to have to start over at a larger size.

My boobs may be little, but they are really cute.  They are growing (slowly!) so maybe I'll get up to a numbered size one of these days.  In the meantime, a padded bra does the job.

I'm actually very surprised by my breast growth for only a month on HRT, though much of it is fat and pectoral muscle instead of breast tissue still. My nipples are developing pretty quickly if the amount of pain I'm feeling means anything though. My fear is that once I finally get rid of my belly fat I'll also lose most of my bust size since most of it is probably still just fat even though with as much as my nipples always hurt there is definitely a lot of growing happening.

Jeez, I hope gaining weight isn't necessary, because my weight has been rock-steady for a decade no matter what I do. I know my shoulders have broadened over the last couple years - because I've gained exactly three pounds since middle school (137 to 140) When I heavy into weightlifting I went up to 141 because I gained muscle mass, an that's the heaviest I've ever been.

I figure I'll get to a B cup in like three years, and A cup in a year. I'm not super worried about it though, nothing healthy happens quickly when it comes to bodies in my experience.

I think a lot of it is genetics. I have lost 40 pounds in the last 5 months and I have been on HRT for 2.5 months. I am still losing weight but my chest keeps growing. I am close to a 40D (according to measurements) now but I don't think I fill anything larger than a C cup. I am not a beanpole and still have around a 27 BMI but I am not sure how much that plays into it.

Hi, Lucy. I have always had breast tissue to work with and it eventually came in handy.

I used a Noogleberry for a while and did not shed pounds that I was supposed to have had, but it all worked out just fine.  I had my BA done last week and easily had 800 cc silicone implants put in.  My surgeon did say that the extra tissue, helped quite a bit.  I had no pain afterwards with the exception of some discomfort (I never even touched the pain meds).  As they settle, I am feeling it a little bit at the nipple and below, but it is nothing to write home about.

Be careful with the extra weight though; ideally, you want it to go to your boobs but that is not always the case.  Hope this helps.
