Hi All,

My new Rx is to wear 2 patches at once, and to nominally change out both of them twice per week.  My physician suggests laddering to smooth out the dose, so one new one comes on and one comes off.  Using excel, I found equally spaced intervals for an ideal schedule. RB = right buttox, LB = left buttox, LF = left front, RF = right front.  So my replacement cycle goes clockwise around my body. I can now remember how to do this.

 Hi sherie157

You might try a spreadsheet. That is what I did for the 15 medications, vitamins, and hormones I take daily at differing times during the day. I put the  date, general time frames  ie breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, bedtime etc. in columns to the left with the general time frames each on their own lines and repaet that daily block for each day going down the page for a month. Then fill in the actual times I take the medications in the next column. I list all the medications to the right in separate columns  and the dosages for each time frame below that on the line for the time frame I take it. I also use my spreadsheet to record  readings for my BP, pulse and BS (blood sugar). I keep track of appointments and notes all the way to the right. I made a template of the completed blank form and modify the form each month.
It works for me and I have all my pertinent medical information in one place.

Hi Lauri,

Thanks! Yes - I used a spreadsheet to figure out the even intervals (excel).  The other meds I can keep straight without use of the tool.  It was the laddering and the 4 patches per week and the fact the a week is 7 days that led me to excel to figure this out.

You sound very well organized!

I use patches and love the idea of smooth consistent dosages.  The schedule you have sure seems busy tho?

Up at midnight and then again at 6:00 in the morning for a patch application?  This old thang likes to sleep in sometimes or go to bed at 10;00 but thanks for sharing another way ;D
