Dr. Stiller

So, I learned today, that apparently Apple Health (Washington State Medicaid) no longer contracts with Marci Bowers for MTF surgery, and supposedly will now use a Dr. Geoffrey Stiller in Pullman, WA (basically Idaho). While I don't have an option but to pursue him since my understanding is that if there is an in-state provider all out of state providers will be denied, I cannot really find anything online about who he trained with, or any testimonials, has anyone heard of him? A forum search here only revealed his number, nothing of note about him.

I wonder is he getting the ones that were on bowers waiting list also [emoji848][emoji848][emoji848][emoji848] when she was contracted to Washington state

I was his #8 he is amazing!!! he makes Bowers look like a newb.

No shade but if the pics on bowers are anything to go by ... let me not go there. But only one of them was "nice" looking

Just an update, I talked to his office, turns out the wait would only be in the months, the receptionist told me to go ahead and get all the letters before they schedule the consult, due to the way Apple Health works, that would make it easier.

So, 3 letters, 1 from your PCP, and 2 from therapists, apparently electrolysis on the genital region would be required but, I was told that Apple Health will cover this if they say it is necessary for the surgery. Hopefully this month I will have the 3rd letter and be able to schedule things. I will keep everyone updated on how it all works, so far I haven't seen anything that explains how to navigate SRS on Medicaid in Washington in detail, so I suppose I will write it 😛

I got all three letters and scheduled the consult today, the earliest date they had was about 2 months out. They said I would have to fill out some paperwork and bring it with me, along with my insurance and letters. So far seems exactly as I would expect, the consult happens in ID not WA, but it is right across the border at least. The staff has been exceptionally pleasant over the phone so far.

I just got back from my consult on the 9th...
And he has not performed any surgeries in Pullman , Washington yet. They are waiting for some sort of transgender program to take place that Sarah wife is trying to implement ...
He will be also performing the colovaginaplasty(two stages) in a few months.
And may I add he is actually hotter in person n totally sweet

Following. I'm also on the Apple Health program. My primary care is extremely new at this, so I'm trying to help figure out how to get my referral endorsed. Apple health is such a pain with how little information they give out on their processes.

You definitely need to get your two mental psyche letters before Stiller would even do a consult with you. That's how my girlfriend had to do it

My friend Jessie used Apple Health through Dr. Stiller. She had no issue.
