Last nite when I got groceries I was in the meat section and there was this young couple, late twenties, and the MAAB partner was wearing a long, spaghetti strap, cami dress, curly, tomato red hair with a headband, boots, beard.

As I walked past, the FAAB partner was saying, "So we could either makes steaks, or do it as a roast."
Their conversation was so normal. So mundane. Just married folks figuring out what's for dinner.

I'm so glad that this is becoming more open.  It's not like it hasn't been going on rampantly behind clothes doors in my generation.

Walmart is like free entertainment.  I've seen some totally weird people at Walmart. It's a trip. Lol

I saw a girl once who was really dressed nice. I mean her outfit was REALLY put together well. Of course I was staring. The more I looked, the more I wondered if she was trans, probably a crossdresser. Eventually, I figured it out, she was, but she was very stealth and beautiful. All the other women were in yoga pants, etc. LOL.

Funny...not ha ha funny, but how little I know of our world. 10 years ago when I transitioned, I had never heard of genderqueer, asexual, intersex, binary/non-binary (still don't know what it means), pansexual.
Probably what brings me back to this site is to learn more of the diversity.
Gosh, if I were Cis (my first time using that term), trying to explain the diversity is daunting. I'm trans and I barely I uderstand it all.
When I had my surgery, I thought it was SRS, but you have GCS and GRS.

Lol, I'm needing a guidebook.

I believe MAAB is the same as AMAB, Assigned Male At Birth. Similar on FAAB. I've seen it said both ways.

As for all the categories of gender identity, I'm pretty sure I'm somewhere in that mix, but still confused what they all mean or how I fit in. At this point I don't much care for myself, I just do what I want to, but it might help me explain myself to others if I knew.

  There are many resources on the internet that are helpful for figuring out the acronyms you see including just a simple search for them. I fing the "Urban dictionary" result is usually helpful.

I think there are more transgender people on average than there were 100+ years ago.
There isn't a way to truly gauge that, but I think with the advancements medicine, agribusiness, industry, etc. the population has been exposed to hormone changing toxins.  Also now that it is becoming feasible for folks to actually receive the help the need and it is becoming the new norm.

I know some people hate Wally World, but I'm on a tiny budget, and it's a good place to buy girl clothes without spending too much money. I see all kinds of crazy looking people in stuff that shouldn't be worn in public or worn at all, but in this small Southern town I'm probably the only MtF presenting as binary F when I'm there. I look for other transgender sisters when I'm there but it's hard to tell, because so many of the FAAB women I see there look more like MAAB than a lot of my MtF friends! It's fun to people watch there.

My journey in transition has only been about 2 months and I've got a ways to go. And like Tommie9 I'm on that tiny budget so it's wally-world or bust. Some times that devil on my shoulder whispers that I'm a weirdo, but the angel on the other shoulder say's 'look around'. I feel better then! I just hope I don't end up on You-Tube! They have been good to me there, a few strange looks but mostly smiles!

Walmartians can definitely be an eyeful. They can often justify me not buying clothes there. Of course, I trained myself not to stare, as I would not want others staring at me.
