SEEKING SURGEON - What I'm looking for...

Hi all,

So I'm looking for a surgeon for SRS and I don't know where to start, so below I've listed some qualities I'm seeking out in hopes that it will narrow my options down. If anyone knows a surgeon who fits any part of this criteria please don't hesitate to provide a link to their website so that I may glean some more info. Thank you!

-cost is $20,000 or less
-located in the USA
-does not require electrolysis of genital region prior to surgery (I've heard some surgeons scrape the follicles out when operating...?)

It's a start. I'm sure I'll come up with more as I do more research, but for now this is what I've got.

If you have sufficient material, PI shouldn't require electrolysis. Scrapping is somewhat risky in that the hair isn't always removed. As for pricing, I can suggest one that's less than 25K but there may be others in the U.S. that are less.

Regarding hair, there's always a risk that you'll have vaginal hair regardless of what the surgeon says. It can be quite a big problem when it does occur.

You don't care about insurance, quality of result, experience of surgeon, wait list, or risk of problems?

Quality/experience/wait list/risk all go without saying.

Insurance is a non-factor. I am currently attached to my parents' insurance which does not cover such surgeries, and I cannot work full time as of now because I am a full-time student, and at my current place of employment they require you work a year full-time before you are considered such and granted health benefits.

FYI . . . I was really scared of the thought of genital hair removal (laser) but had to do it in a rush when they moved up my GCS date.  It wasn't easy but it was not nearly as bad as I'd thought it was going to be. . . . everyone is different but  . . . I went to a Dermatologist who had the absolute latest equipment too . . .

It's not the pain I'm concerned about. It's the cost.

Money might seem important up front, but I've watched women come apart at the seams when vaginal hair becomes an issue. Food for thought.

There is no surgeon who fulfills all of these criteria.

I did 6 sessions of electrolysis 6 weeks apart and was done 5 months prior to surgery. I would do that again.

I went to Dr. McGinn and she may charge about $23,000, perhaps more now. I would go to her again.
