Bio-identical estradiol has a far smaller impact on deep vein clotting vs. other forms of estrogens (i.e. birth control pills, Premarin) and when given non-orally, the risk of DVT or pulmonary embolism appears to be negligible. Studies to support this.
As far as platelets go, it would seem to me, from my limited research and understanding into the matter, that estrogen actually REDUCES platelet aggregation and this is one of the reasons it is cardioprotective. So, for you, its impact could actually be a negative one and require you to adjust medications, if any are taken for your condition.
I'm not a doctor though and you need to discuss this thoroughly with the specialists. You can also research this in your free time and see how, specifically, 17 beta estradiol (not the other forms of estrogen) affects platelets.
