FTM Binder

My daughter is exhibiting some possible trans signs and is currently interested in a binder.  She is, sorry to say, but a pretty large girl with and ample breast size.  I was hoping that someone may have some insight as the best place to purchase a binder that might be suitable for a plus size person.

I am far from an expert on binders but I have been reading a bunch of posts about them in the FTM Gear section. It seems that many are content with the gc2b product line and the service they receive from the company. There are a few other companies so poke around in the FTM Gear section and make sure the product is what's needed.

I got my binder from gc2b and it's wonderful. They're of nice quality, come in a variety of nude colours (dark and light!) and, dare I say it, are actually comfortable for a binder. The site has a little info section about their sizing and how to measure, so it's easy to figure out the size. Sizing ranges from XXS to 5XL, so they come in many sizes too. They're reasonably priced too, and are honestly more than worth it.

Definitely recommend their binders, so check them out for your child!

I wear an underworks tritop binder. It is not the most comfortable thing ever, but they are sized more accurately (in my experience) than the gc2b binders. I had one of those and the recommended size would not go on. I tried to get into it on and off again for two months before getting irreversibly stuck in it and freeing myself with scissors. So much fail, I can't even. If you go with gc2b, definitely email them for a size recommendation.

I'm currently a D cup, nearly a DD, and I too wear an Underworks tri-top binder.  From what I've read, Underworks binders work better for larger cup sized men to give us the binding we need.   Gc2b may not give your son the look he may want.  From what I understand, the armholes are larger than Underworks, and due to the material, may not flatten as much as he may need.

Good luck to your son and its really great that he has such a supportive parent! ☺  Hopefully we'll see him around soon!

I agree, the armholes on a GC2B binder are comfortable, but they mean i sometimes get a sort of muffin-top spillage which isn't great.

All I can suggest in that case is to try and tuck and push the muffin-top to where you want it to sit.  If you experiment, hopefully you can get it into the binder where it looks like you have pecs.  Its what I do, anyway.

yeah that's usually what i do, and that combined with a loose hoodie works okay, but my chest has no real structure -- if someone had a fuller or more firm chest it might not work so well

Actually, wearing a loose top somehow ACCENTUATES that you have something to hide!  I have a full (D, nearly a DD) chest, and I've gotten really good at tucking the extra bits in.

So if you can find shirts that actually show off your "pecs," you tend to look more masculine.  That's why the tucking works.

I own both tight and loose clothes (that's what happens when you only shop online lol) and I definitely look flatter in something that doesn't cling to the underside of my chest so to speak

I bought my first binder from gc2b. It was very comfortable. I have a large chest. G-cup. I was not very flat with that. But better than nothing. I live in Sweden, it took about 5-6 weeks for shipping it here.

A week ago I bought my second binder, this time from Underworks. Took less than a week for shipping it here.

The differances are
Gc2b - has softer fabric
Gc2b - has larger space for arms/shoulders
Underworks - makes you a bit flatter
Underworks - very fast delivery

Don't expect the entire chest to disappear. Big parts need some space even when flattened.

I got my underwoks binder today. So far I like it more.

I got the recommendation that gc2b binders are better for bigger chested people, and I really love my binders. (DD cup here). I've not tried underworks so I can't really compare, but I know that's the other company that does well for bigger chested people.

The one thing I found with gc2b binders though is the shoulder measurements are VERY important. so even if you're measuring a smaller size in the bust, go bigger in the shoulders. I ended up having to buy bigger binders do to shoulder size even though they fit great in the chest.
