I am just heartbroken. I loved Tom ever since I was a little one, back when I saw him on the movie Water World with Kevin Kostner. I grew up appreciating his music because of my dad. He will be missed.

Everyone wants to know, what does the fox say?  No one ever asks, how does the fox feel?

The music of Tom Petty has been such a part of my life.  He was such a class act.  I can't believe he's gone.

Yeah Tom Petty had a lot of talent. His singing sounded like crap in a clinical sense but he sang really good. I loved the Traveling Willburys and in that grouped the amount of talent astounded me.

One little tidbit, he also played the Voice of Lucky on King of the Hill that still plays on Adult Swim. Sipped on pee pee in Costco and got a settlement. He was priceless on that show. But then again Brittney Murphy is also dead and played the voice of Luann.

Tom Petty was amazing. His music I only really discovered less than a year ago, but his passing really hurts. I haven't been this sad about an artist passing since David Bowie.

I still haven't processed Tom Petty's death, honestly. His music has always been there in my life. I see this, and his tribute to the beautiful soul that was Alexis Arquette makes my heart cry. I always wanted to just give her a big long hug and just thank her for everything she was, because she is really is a hero to me.

I was in shock and sadness when I heard. I loved Tom Petty. My first time knowing who he was would have been sometime in mid 2006. I just bought GTA San Andreas and one of his songs 'running down a dream' was on on of the radio track. I then developed a great like for much of his music. Sleep tight angel, we all miss you xoxo <3

I knew that there was a reason I liked him. RIP and thank you for adding to the soundtrack of my life.
