Hi everyone.

I'm a Log time lurker and finally felt ready to say "hello".  I'm a 45 year old transgender woman who's known about my gender my entire life - even as a child I knew I should be a girl but due to circumstance, events and a total lack of confidence in who I am and a whole host of other silly reasons I have suppressed my feelings on and off but you can't hide from yourself forever - eventually I couldn't carry on that way.
In recent years I have learned to love who I am and decided to take control and I can honestly say I have never been happier. The difference in myself continues to shock me.
Been taking things slowly and only very recently started HRT ... wish I had done this 25 years ago but at least I finally came to my senses.

So here I am - happy to finally say "Hi" and thanks for having me in this awesome community!!  It really has helped me while lurking in "Guest mode" over the past few years.

Hi Elizabeth.
You've lurked in the right place and being a member will be even better.  I'm glad that you have found happiness and I hope that it is the start of even more wonderful things.

Hi Elizabeth,
My name is Moni. Well if you are a lurker, you may well know that already. lol It makes me feel good when someone decides to speak up and express what they have hidden for so long. I hope you will feel comfortable to contribute more when you want to. See you around the boards. :)
If I ever offend you, let me know. It's not what I am about.

Hello Elizabeth, welcome to Susan's!

My gap between the time when I knew something wasn't quite right and when I started making things right was a bit longer than yours.  I started HRT this summer and wow - definitely no regrets here.  Turns out I had been lurking from myself for almost four decades.  ;)

Glad you're here now - I bet you have great experiences to share, and many more coming up for you.

Welcome!

Kendra
