I would like to introduce myself to you folks of Susan's who are navigating gender journeys. I myself am a middle aged person who is on a self discovery journey. I have read many posts here and I definitely resonate with many of you. I'm not sure what I have to offer other than my friendship and understanding. I have just very recently spoke to my doctor and a therapist about being transgender..So far reactions have been better than I could have hoped for. This has been overdue for many years. My wife has known for a long time and is extremely supportive. I cant thank her enough. Close family and friends are unaware of my circumstances. To all here i thank you for all the wisdom and ideas expressed. Onward we go....... Chrystal

Hi Chrystal.  You are among friends.  Susan's has helped me and is integral in my support system.  I am also middle age and just now accepting myself and transitioning.  There are many of us, you aren't alone

Bari Jo
you know how far the universe extends outward? i think i go inside just as deep.

10/11/18 - out to the whole world.  100% friends and family support.
11/6/17 - came out to sister, best day of my life
9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.
Age 10 - suppression and denial began
Age 8 - knew I was different

Thank you for your kind thoughts. Knowing I'm not alone allowed me to reveal myself to my physician which has been fantastic. Thanks again. Chrystal

Hey, FreyaG , I see that you are new here. So please let me say, Welcome To Susan's Place! Come on in and take a good look around.  Perhaps I can even get you to hop on over to the Introductions Thread and  create a post to tell us a little bit more about yourself so we can get to know you a little better and greet you properly.

Also I'll add some links and information below that can help you get more out of our site. Please take time to become familiar with them especially the RED one as we are always getting questions that are answered there.

Sorry about the late reply. Had a couple crazy days lately. I have been talking to a couple of therapists about my journey. Circumstances led me to two of them which so far is working out. So my little network of supporters is expanding as i slowly break my news to them. One by one the feedback has been great. Everyone has been compassionate and understanding. I am very fortunate. Thank you to all who have welcomed me here. I read your posts with great intrest. We are all very connected in a special way. To some of the other new gals and guys here, isnt this a great place? Thank you again. Chrystal
