T injections?
October 27, 2017, 05:41:58 PM
So I picked up my prescription today and I am confused about the injections, they gave me syringes for 25c but they didn't give me the long one for pulling back, my doctor showed me how to do the shot and I do subcutaneous but I am confused lol.

Give your doctor a call. Sometimes prescription get messed up and sometimes an item is out of stock so you don't get everything. If the doctors ordered them, you need to check with the pharmacy.

Pharmacies are not the best about including syringes when it is an injectable prescription. I use 23g and draw and shoot myself with the same needle. You will save money and future hassle if you just order these in bulk when they come back in stock.

I sometimes draw and shoot with my 26g needle when I'm feeling lazy, so it's possible to inject with what you have if need be. It'll just be a little slower to draw and to get the air out.
But do talk to your doctor and/or pharmacy to see what the deal is. Odds are someone forgot to write or fill the prescription.

The bigger the gauge number the thinner the needle gets. If you stick a 18g in your skin it will hurt a lot compared to gauges in the 20s. 18g would be good for drawing the liquid out of the vial. I use 1in length needles for subq which is a different number from the gauge number. You can use a 1.5in length needle if you have to but you just don't stick it in as deep.

I called my doctor, she ended up calling the pharmacy for me. So hopefully when I pick it up tomorrow everything is sorted out.

Congratulations, Brandon, and good luck with the shots. I'm getting dizzy thinking about it.
