"While the Spokane Police Department doesn't have a record of past extortion attempts made by Castagna he does have a criminal record. Several days before he met Curtis at his downtown hotel room in an incident that led to allegations of cross-dressing, solicitation and blackmail, Castagna appeared in a Kootenai County courtroom accused of stealing a woman's gambling winnings from the Coeur d'Alene Casino."
