Carnitas with shredded cheddar and pico de gallo on garlic naan.  Yes I crossed the streams with Mexican and Indian.  I am stuck in Cleveland for the week for work, had a serious taco craving tonight, couldn't find a decent Mexican place, and went shopping at Trader Joe's.  The naan looked way better than the tortillas so they won.

Who is this Naan of which you speak?

Naan of your business :)

Naan is a leavened, oven-baked flatbread found in the cuisines of the Middle East, Central Asia and South Asia.

Lol, one of my Indian coworkers LOVES using that line on curious Americans.

But yes it's flatbread and this particular one was garlic infused.  It made for a fine (gloriously oversized) soft taco.

It's super easy to make if you are in to that sort of thing.

It's a piece of toast with a circle cut out in the middle and the hole is filled with a fried egg.

We call that egg in the window. I was just talking about it earlier today!

Toad in the hole in UK is sausages covered in batter baked in the oven. Proper comfort food.

Oh, in Texas they call them Kolachi's.  When I was a kid we called them pigs in a blanket.

This sounds awesome.  I'm totally looking up a recipe for it and making it this weekend.

A pig in a blanket is a sausage wrapped in bacon :)

They're so easy to make.

You just need thick savoury pancake batter, some par cooked sausages and then into a baking and tray and into the oven until the batter is cooked.

The gravy is loads of onions sweated in a pan until they're sweet and sticky and then stock and gravy thickener.
