This will be a milestone of sorts NO, a major milestone. First time reall leveling with a medical professional or really anyone.

I started to do so in October, but he has limited time and we had a lot of other things to cover. She's in very high demand at the local and nationally reknowned  Major University.

So in between visits, I see a therapist. Now, she has remarked on my wearing purple Jessica Simpson sneakers, ear rings, etc. But never pushed farther.

I see the Psychiatrist for other issues, PTSD, depression, anxiety disorder, previous alcoholism,  lack of memory and illogical thinking due to prolonged lack of oxygen to the brain.

I really like her. You can tell she truly cares. She's very cool about not documenting in the "offical records" about things that concern me about "red flags" to my insurance company, or that could possibly have some impact on my Social Security Disability.

Truly, I'm very excited to do this and feel it will be very liberating.

Any thoughts, tips or anything else would be appreciated.

Hugs to all,

Denise

Good luck Denise.  I've found medical professionals are, well, professional.  Rest your fears.  This coming out will go fine!

you know how far the universe extends outward? i think i go inside just as deep.

10/11/18 - out to the whole world.  100% friends and family support.
11/6/17 - came out to sister, best day of my life
9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.
Age 10 - suppression and denial began
Age 8 - knew I was different

Denise,

It's going to be fine, sweetie. Even if you do as I did and just blurt it out, they will carry on doing their job, and the world will keep turning, anyway, why are they more scary than us ? ;D

Every step I have taken with coming out has resulted in relief - a surprising amount of it.  I bet you will find the same.  It feels so good to literally be yourself.
