We seem to have a series of milestones, breakthrough moments, and anniversaries. Do any of them hold a special significance for you?

My name change meant a lot to me. The name was given to me by my best friend, and making it legal was affirming, for both of us in the long run. It added a layer of depth to our friendship.

Hugs, Devlyn

May 12, 2017: complete meltdown and came out to wife.
May 19: First therapist appointment.
May 24: First time out dressed, at a private trans social event.
June 21 (first day of summer!): Began HRT.
June 24: First time dressed in public.
July 26: Came out to first friend.
August 9: Came out to Mom and sister.
September 27-28: Two days "full-time" dressed at Disney World.
October 4: First laser hair removal session.
October 13: Came out to the world on Facebook.
October 17: Got ears pierced.
Some time in September/October/November: went full-time without even realizing it.
November 25: First hair styling.
November 29 - December 3: First road trip with no boy clothes in luggage.
December 7: Girl Harbor Day. Name change hearing.

Less than 7 months so far. The number of mountains climbed and demons slain in that short time just blows me away...

Steph (to be 100% legal in two days)

I sooo wish I could take credit for that, but I was talking with my next door neighbor about it being a day that will go down in infamy, and the wisdom of wearing pearls, and she just burst out with it. I completely lost it.

All my neighbors are pretty cool with my transition, but she and one other woman at the other end of the street are positively encouraging and endlessly helpful. They're both attending my hearing for moral support. So far I have eight people coming to cheer me on. I wish everyone here at Susan's could be there, too.

I think I claim the day I came out at work and started living full time... June 1st 2017 :-)

Megan.

1st September 2014, the day I decided to face my trans* monster and finally do something about it.

1st May 2017 is my official start of RLE,  though it really started a week earlier.

Name change,  coming out,  ID changes... have all happened piecemeal so none of them were really a big deal for me.
