I called the gender therapist. I have to wait until August-October next year before I can start therapy. Too few doctors he said.

Oh no Tony! So sorry to hear. That is terrible. I hope they can squeeze you in sooner!

Is there no one else? An increasing number if therapists can do it over Skype.

Yes, my therapist located in Colombia does this. Go to www.liberarte.co, he's trans FTM and certified by the WPATH. The website automatically loads in Spanish but you can switch it to English in the upper right corner.
Latina :) I speak Spanish, English and a bit of Portuguese.

My therapist in Kansas City does it as well.  She isn't covered by NHS but if you want to get it over with quickly, it's an option.  I imagine the folks in Columbia might be a bit less expensive, favorable exchange rates and all.

Thank you. But I'm unsure it will work out. I'm in Sweden.

Sorry to hear that Tony,  I know (from bitter experience) those waits aren't fun when we want to move forward.
Are there any positive steps forward you can be making while you wait for them to play catchup?

Hey!  Hang in there.  There's a lot you can achieve in that time.

It took me 5 years to eventually make the appointment.  During which time I had sorted myself out IPL, grown my hair, got myself into good shape - and started working as Gemma.

By the time it came to seeing the therapist there wasn't much left to discuss  :-)

Friends can be great therapists.  If you're comfortable discussing your story with others - this can help you come to terms with the situation.

Good luck - don't let others control your destiny :-)
