Floof

Hi! OMG its Floof, yes I did just crawl out from under my post-op rock :D

I come to you with a question today, hoping for some very honest answers and thoughts! I'm having a hard time seeing any change in my face from a year of HRT now, but I have seen a lot of change in others after 1 year. Am wondering if its another classic case of 'cant see it yourself'?

I tried to find vaguely similar looking selfies, but I dont take too many and when I do can rarely resist making a stupid face so.. Here are some, mostly similar angle at least. Not very scientific this, would enjoy hearing your general impressions tho! Should I even expect to see something by 1 year?

I can see a difference, I can also see why you cannot. There is only slight changes. Your face is so feminine to begin with. you are very pretty ... I'm totally envious.
I left the door open, only a few came through. such is my life.

I see slight changes too, but each of these are different.  To really accentuate the change try and duplicate an old photo with same lighting and angle.  Then you might see a lot of change.

And yes, you are pretty and young!  Jealous here!

10/11/18 - out to the whole world.  100% friends and family support.
11/6/17 - came out to sister, best day of my life
9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.

Floof!!!

So good to see you again little sister!!!...I've been wondering how you were! ...I hope life goes well in the land of the midnight sun and congrats on your post-op status!!!

Like Faith and Bari Jo said... slight changes facially... More consistant angle and lighting might reveal more...but, you were starting from a very good staring point! You are gorgeous!!!! Don't put too much into the one year mark being a magical point in the journey... in my case, much or most of the non surgical changes came later... I am quickly approaching the 4 year HRT anniversary and still getting breast growth spurts! I am a 32 D now by the measuring tape (glad I didn't get BA!!)... and I am noticing more rounding in the face and hip / butt rounding...

If you are looking for more changes just keep being patient and take comfort in the fact that you already look beautiful!!!!

Onward we go brave sister!!!

Definitely a difference. Earlier photos have a slightly more "gaunt" (not truly gaunt, but gaunt-ish) appearance, while more recent photos show a fleshing out of the fat around the cheeks to a much softer look. You can see it really kick in on the 5 month photo.

Thanks for the feedback all! I'm gona try to dig up some no-makeup pics from neutral angles with good lighting, and try to replicate.. That won't be easy, I don't think I have many such pictures lying around.

Will do some good clear pics now tho, so in another year or so I can compare again!

A! All is well, even though we are on the wrong end of the year for midnight sun right now, its cold and very dark! Thanks, it was all very exciting and an incredible relief to have done it. Results are amazing so far, that Chettawut is an artist!

Hmm yea I think I can actually see what you are talking about. I figured I had just been gaining some weight, but maybe the HRT is softening my face?

I definitely see a difference. When I saw the pre HRT one I perceived a female and then saw the others and comparing them I do notice what HRT did. You face looks rounder and softer. Definitely more female. And you already had a great start so that's probably why you think you didn't change much. But you did :)

Definitely changes.  You had feminine features before and I think they are now more defined.
You are beautiful!

Like everyone else Wild Flower, I see a difference your face looks much softer now. I also agree with other that say you already had a feminine look about you to started with.

Thanks all, you are so kind!

I still struggle with my face, as do we all I'm sure. I think when people can tell I'm trans tho its mostly due to my voice, which is still terrible after all these years. I can NOT get a hang of sounding sensibly feminine, even with lessons! I can choose between a male voice, and one that sounds made up and cartoony..

Oh well, I really apreciate everyones input! I'm kinda starting to see the 'softer rounder' thing you all mention, its nice to feel like HRT has done something for me beyond making me feel absolutely awesome on the inside of course. ;D

OMG Floof you're back!
I had wondered where you had gone as well. After you let us know you got SRS you disappeared girl. Congratulations again on getting that done! :eusa_clap: :icon_dance:

I looked at all of your pictures. The pre-HRT looked a little thin, but I did not see a boy at all. I could not see anything masculine in any of your images.  :D
Your face is filled in more, as in you no longer look near starved. All of your bone structure is youthful and feminine. Your forehead has no older testosterone induced ridges. Your nose and chin are perfectly proportioned.
You, young lady, are quite beautiful! Someday I hope you see that!

Josie! Good too see you still around! And thank you, its pretty amazing to have it over and done with.

Yea the whole 'dilation 3 times a day' thing got me down quite a bit, its been stressing me out so much so after I was done with it for the day I didn't want to even think about anything transitioning related until it was time for the next one.. Finally got a good routine down where it doesn't dominate my day too much, so I can get back to focusing on living!

You are so kind and sweet, thank you so much <3 I try to take everyones word for it that I don't look masculine, but as I'm sure you know thats easier said than done! We have a tendency to only see the things we dislike most in our selves..

I see very subtle changes. Nothing dramatic, but I can tell there's a difference. I'm at 18 months, and the difference is still subtle for me. I look a lot more feminine, that's for sure, but some days I can't help but see my former self. It kind of spooks me. Then I look really close, and I can tell there's a difference, and I start smiling again.
