Splits front or side is not hormone related, it is something you have to work at and make sure your body is warm, during training we would wear leg warmers and sweat pants to keep our legs warm but you must warm up. Naturally loose is another term, i have always been naturally loose and at ballet school there was only a very small handful of us that were naturally loose, the down side was lack of control. I was always paired up with another girl our legs would be banneded and we would drop into side splits, again this was fully supervised usually by two teachers
