Spicy foods
December 09, 2017, 11:36:36 AM
Hi girls 🙋♀️ I experienced an odd sensation last night after a few bites of delicious blackened ono tacos with chipotle. I felt the heat sensation rise up to my head where it seemed every hair follicle lit up. Happened twice, never felt it before hrt. Has anyone else felt something similar? Or am I just an over sensitive gal?
Hugs, Jessica 💁♀️

I have been dubbed an honorary Mexican by my wife who is Mexican. A good portion of the meals I make are of Mexican origin. I have noticed since starting HRT that slight heat will get me glowing and result in a wet forehead. Only the very spicy used to affect me before.

My heat tolerance hasn't changed, and I'm actually craving spicier foods more often now, I use hot sauces way more when I cook

I can drink hot sauce out of the bottle. I put it on eggs, toast, potatoes, any meats, I just get hicups from it I dont know why. I love to burn my mouth with it.

Always loved spicey foods before and now. I'd put hot sauce on everything if I could.

I cook a lot of Mexican dishes as well and have been described as "the brownest white person I know" by a few of my Hispanic friends.
(growing up in Southern Arizona and learning a bunch of cooking tricks from a little old Mexican grandmother helps a lot)
But that said I haven't felt a sensation like you describe. I have found spicy food to be even more pleasurable than before (well, along with everything else). I'll toss some extra sauce on tonight's tacos and see what happens.
