Hey girls 🙋 We are leasing a live tree this year.  They bring it out and after the season they pick it up and tend to it through the year.  You can have the same tree year after year.

I personally like fake christmas trees. I think real tress are very messy and I have anxiety around house fires so obviously as trees dry out the more anxious I become. I find fake trees reduce a lot of  my anxiety.
As for the lack of smell, that doesn't bother me too much! They make "ScentSicles" that smell just as nice as the real thing and stay pretty potent for a while.
Also I feel like a good fake tree is a worthy investment, however restringing lights on them are a pain in the ass!

I like the fake trees least but they are convenient, I like real trees because well, they're real and are great to cut up and burn in a fireplace or be thrown on a bonfire at the beach for New Years

I like the live tree idea best though  ;D

I'd be on board with buying a real one in a pot, dressing it up indoors for a month and then planting it outside in a garden. I know a few people with quite large and beautiful trees in their gardens now as a result of Xmas trees. I guess it can't be done every year though, unless you give it away or go out of your way to find somewhere to plant it.
