I was super nervous at first. I had only dressed up at home for the last ~25 years. My hair is pretty short and I can't do much with the make up rather then: conceal really well, and kind of do the eyes and cheeks. I wore black strappy 4" heels (with the little band around you ankle I for some reason I love the way it feels) with 1" platforms in the front with open toes so you can just see your big and second toe; painted pink to match the accents on the dress, my choker and head band tht made my bangs into a little poof. Do they still make that neon hair spray paint that washes out? I thought people would stare or laugh but I actually got: "You look nice,You have nice legs,I love your shoes and, you have nice legs and feet." Everyone was polite and asked me "You go by she..." for those who hadn't heard me talk. It was really exciting and I felt totally normal and relaxed. I don't know why I was so afraid. I'm dressing up every time I go out now. I'm not on estrogen yet; it's just my body doing it's no testosterone thing that it does naturally for the last 2 months, which have given me B cups with puffy nipples so I think after some real estrogen works for a year I'm going with C/D cup implants since my nipples will be big enough for them. Also going to get my butt made into the heart shape. I don't think I would change anything else on me. I notice naturally when in heals I swing one foot around the other and walk with my hips. I felt really relaxed and also a rush. People probably thought I was just an effeminate gay or a "sissy boy" which I have always wanted to be. As a kid sissy wasn't an insult it was a complement. I also like being able to sit on my legs on furniture and make my self small.

I have really cool pictures but how do we post them?

Let go of the things that no longer serve you... Let go of the pretense of the false persona, it is not you... Let go of the armor that you have worn for a lifetime, to serve the expectations of others and, to protect the woman inside... She needs protection no longer.... She is tired of hiding and more courageous than you know... Let her prove that to you....Let her step out of the dark and feel the light upon her face.... amg🌸

To add images do they have to be hosted off site? Whats an easy hosting site that works well with the forum if need be?

Thank You Sweet Girl 😀!!!!

Your avatar pic can load directly from your computer but all other pics need to be hosted by a 3rd party... I have been using Flickr... It works well but I have to use my PC laptop with it instead of my IPad... I can't get the proper BB code for the pics with an IOS device for some reason... a lot of folks here use Imgur also!

Hugs!!!

Be careful.  It can become addicting.  I went out for the first time last month to a concert.  It was a great feeling and a great time.  I felt so relaxed that evening.

Hmmm, good you got compliments , where i live and am from most people wearing dresses are seen as transexual/transgender woman and where i am from being called sissy means your attitude needs to change and is very negative , differs from place and country .

Congratulations!!!  The first time is always nerve-wracking! It's gets easier each time, and you'll quickly find that you don't want to go out any other way.

Ahh, yes.  Sweet memories.  Congratulations on breaking out of the closet.  It's a phase, hon.  Enjoy it while you can.

I haven't worn a dress and heels in over a year, and I'm a full-time trans woman.  I'd love to, but an appropriate occasion rarely comes up.  Nobody dresses up anymore!  Maybe if I had an office job where it's required, but I'm free of the office now.

I do wear a skirt once in awhile to feel extra feminine, and I can get away with a house dress or shift around home.  If I go to a fancy restaurant or to a play in the city I'll get dressed up in heels, but for most places I go it's too easy to be overdressed and feel out of place.

There's one place I can always get dressed up though -- my transgender support group.  They expect it!   :D

I pln on always dressing like that when I leave the house. Doesn't matter where you are going. I went to the doc office. The office store the vitamin  store and few random places. I started  buying woman shoes this month I have bought
Black 3" heal open toe strap around ankle
Another black 3" heal open toe w/strap but fabric instead of shiney
black
4" heal with 1" plat form under the toe with criss cross fabric that lets you just see your big toe and 2nd toe super cute if you have narrow feet like me. These also show  off my high arches also with strap around anckle
3" chunky heal black leather matte close toe not too pointy not too round with strap and silver buckle that goes over middle top of foot Super classy  But could be worn at the office
Next will be some 3" high knee high leather boots that lace on the side with pointy tips.

I have a shoe for every occasion from going to the mailbox to going to the mall. Lesson You can almost never be dressed too nice. (One exception high heel when apple picking I had a friends wife NO!)

All of the womans clothes I own are skirts or dresses NO PANTS. I have been wearing pants for my whole life. MAybe Ill wear pants to the gym. But now I can wear dresses so Im going to ever chance I get maybe a pair of jeans if they are superr short/low

My rule is heels and skirts. and none of those 1" heals those are so tacky.
As soon as I get my boobs I'll be wearing shirts that show those off tube tops come to mind in summer.
