Cindy

I realise the Northerners are a bit chilly but down here in summer land it is hot. 42C hot.

My hair is finally long enough to be a bother (Yea!), after falling out from chemo and radio it has grown to my shoulders.

Unfortunately my shoulders were also damaged and I cannot reach the back of my head, so I have been working hard at the gym to get movement back (under guidance)

Today my hair has been bothering my neck but I managed to reach and put it in a pony tail.

You would not believe how proud I am of myself for finally being able to do that

Congratulations Cindy!  It's great to get past that awkward stage.  I had my hair in a ponytail for 25 years and cut it when I was 40.  Wish I hadn't.  I have to go through that stage again.

Megan.

Both the hair and mobility are certainly things worth celebrating!
I'll add that it's been lovely to see you so active on the site recently. X

The first time I could tie my hair back was a great day for me, and I didn't have a shoulder issue complicating things.

You should be very proud, congrats.

every success means something. I was taught that in my first few posts here.

Congratulations on the progress, I hope it continues to improve (shoulder) and grow (hair) .. because you wouldn't want your shoulders to grow, I don't think  :)
I left the door open, only a few came through. such is my life.

That's great! Mobility training is not an easy thing to keep up with. You have to do it for a long time and it's hard to see the results sometimes. I'm glad that you were able to push through that and be able to reach your ponytail. I have muscle problems, so I know how frustrating doing small things like that can be and being able to finally get there is such a great feeling :)
If I've known you more than an hour, I prolly love you  :icon_redface:

And well you should be, Cindy!  Congratulations!  Little things can mean so much, I know it seems like grasping at straws sometimes, but just revel in the small battles we win even while the war continues.  Hugs, Toni
