I had a double incision procedure done almost 4 months ago now. For me getting the operation didn't feel real until I was tin the hospital the day off. And then I was just trying to control my anxiety so I wouldn't be a shaking mess by the time I got wheeled to the operating room.
Waking up I felt groggy but pain free at least. Morphine is awesome

. Recovering I didn't experience the difficulties other trans guys experienced which was a relief. One trans guy who had the same procedure said he found it hard to wipe after going to the toilet; so was .menally preparing myself for that

. I was on paracetamol for the first couple of days due to soreness. But was also given codeine just in case.
The most uncomfortable part for me was having to wear the binder; which itched like crazy. I had to give myself a few min breaks while healing.
I'm happy with the results. Once the bandages came off it was a very weird feeling to get used too and seeing how I didn't have anything there anymore. I also has to get used to not having a completely flat chest. This was my unrealistic expectation and have realised with my body type it wouldn't have looked right. I look like I have pecs at least. One of my biggest worries were if the nipples would be positioned properly; which they ate thankfully

. Also took a good 6 weeks for the scabs to come off then which was frustrating.
