Well, just need to ask this because I'm thinking of stuff to text about and then I think, oh, maybe I already said something.  So, is CRS (Cant' Remember S(*t) a side effect?

All I really know is that I'm waiting for my daughter to get ready so we can go shopping :)))))))

Can't recall if the topic has ever come up before.

Actually I think I remember things better now than before but it depends on the day.

OP, I'd have to say my experience is the reverse.

I spent a couple of decades consciously fighting for better mindfulness. I didn't even realize that all that had just gotten easier until I tried going off hrt for a month last year as a last ditch attempt to see if i could survive off of HRT or maybe cycling.

When I cycled off estrogen it was like *wham* all of a sudden I was scattered and having trouble remembering what I was supposed to be doing. And because I'd gotten out of the habit of defending from that behavior for 8 months it was that much more difficult. Same thing when I had to go off again before GCS.

My memory seems to be about the same as it was way back then. Perhaps you could discuss memory loss with your doctor, and see if treatment options may be available.

Cali,

Looking at your profile, your age is just a few years younger than me.

My experience is that memory loss is definitely related to age, especially if your family has a history of Alzheimer's disease. Several of my older relatives do have Alzheimer's and before I transitioned, I had trouble remembering things in the recent past, but not things that happened many years ago.

Since I have been on Estradiol, I will say that my short term memory has improved significantly. I can remember where I set objects down and things to do that I have been putting off for a few days.

Some studies do suggest a beneficial effect of estrogen on Alzheimer's disease and that it, at least, tends to postpone its onset. :) Also, that it has a positive effect on cognitive function and memory.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

I had cognative issues, most notable, with Medroxyprogesterone.  I'm better since changing to Micronized Progesterone, but I do have issues concentrating from time to time, usually end of cycles.  It could be the levels, or it could just be burn out on information at the end of the week...  Fridays were probably not the best day to start and end my cycles.  ::)
At what point did my life go Looney Tunes? How did it happen? Who's to blame?... Batman, that's who. Batman! It's always been Batman! Ruining my life, spoiling my fun! >:-)
