 Hi Anna,

I'm Laurie and sent you a greeting on your other post. We cannot provide you with specific information that may lead you to self medication which I hope is not what you are looking for here. I did some poking around online looking for some information  such as a LGBTQ center that you could contact that maybe able to provide you with some information or point you in the right direction. I was not very successful though. There are support entities in Greece and your best bet to find them I think would be to search for resources in Athens or another larger city. I am sure they are there in Greece somewhere. All I can do is wish you good luck in your efforts to get help.

Hugs,
  Laurie

Another name for Progynol is Ethinylestradiol. This is used in birth control pills and is linked to blood clots especially in women who smoke cigarettes. Several of us here have made many comments that this is not the best form of Estrogen for HRT.

Bio-identical Estradiol is what most of us are taking. This is much safer than Ethinylestradiol.  This is available as tablets for oral or sublingual use, injectable as either valerate or cyprionate, or topical as patches or gel. Each method of administration has it's advantages and disadvantages.

As Laurie previously mentioned, we do not discuss dosages and very much discourage self-medication. You doctor can prescribe any of these forms of Estradiol. He or she will also monitor liver and kidney function to make sure it is safe for you to take these medications. Also, your doctor will monitor blood levels of Estradiol to make sure you are getting the correct dose.
