Hello my fellow trans community. Over a year ago i posted a topic of a very frustrating 😤 review for Dr. Rumors to ops in PA. I was very scared and alone at the time, still am actually. I have no one to relate with. I had my SRS with her in 2016. When i first came upon her name there was not much to go off of. But with feeling the way i felt i could no longer wait for the srs i worked hard to get my letters and she had a short wait list. Now i know why. I had skype with her and she seemed nice at first, showed me some iffy blurry photos of results. I now know it was deceit. But i believed she could do the job. I had my surgery and all i will say is it was painful! I see her my week follow up and i see it for the first time in horror. Her whole staff acted obvious and said it looks great and will look way better once it heals. I then knew i made a horrible mistake and can't take it back. They send me on my way and as i healed i eventually need to call for certain things being afraid of the appearance, granulation tissue and more. Her desk lady will not answer her phone to this day. Had my one year follow up and i addressed my concerns with tears of anger. Dr. Rumor flat out does not care about who she ruins. My depth is minimal and the cosmetics of it haunts me day by day. She offered me revisions but i quickly found it was a lie and won't happen. But i guess i will go to a better surgeon and i know i am not alone and Rumor isn't the only one who does this to our people. As of now i am talking to Meltzers office and Bowers. This time i am willing to wait for the right one. To wrap this review up...all in all i don't recommend Dr. Rumor for anyone, mtf, ftm, or cis. Her and the whole staff are wolves in sheep's clothing. If you come upon her take my advice and run run run 🏃‍♀️ because she will bring you everything but happiness.

Foxxy,
Thank you for writing this. I am sorry this happened to you. I do think there is significance in a short waiting list. I can not disagree with any of your other observations either, from my experience. Some surgeons seem to  care more about the money than caring for their patients. Feel free to interpolate what I mean by this general statement.

I am sorry you had a bad experience.

You may want to consider Dr.McGinn for revisions.

Dr. Bowers is another I would go to; however, her GCS waiting list is 4 years. I do not know her revision waiting list.

I don't have all the details but I think Dr Meltzer has about a two year waiting list. On the other hand, Dr Ley who shares his office is taking up the surgical load and from what I have seen so far, she is a capable surgeon. The advantage is Dr Ley has a very short waiting list though it's possible that she is taking on some of Dr Meltzer's patients to get the backlog under control.
