Two funny....ish things happened over the last couple days:
Thing 1: My laptop stopped remembering my password to pay my car bill. I called to make the payment, and the lady on the phone asked who was calling. I promptly said my name and continued with all the checks to get into the account via phone. The lady then asks how I am related to the account holder. To which I said it's me. I followed promptly with the information the last person I spoke with told me to say. The lady then told me that since she couldn't confirm who I was I couldn't access my account. I then asked in my male voice if this would work for her better, then flipped back to the female for because we're the same person. I then flipped back and forth every couple of words while telling her I just wanted to make a payment because my second round of paperwork was in the mail to get the name on the account changed to the correct one. My fiancé is sitting on the couch next to me rolling and laughing like a mad woman. The lady on the phone is stuttering and apologizing about the misunderstanding, she also apparently found the note on the name. I told her that it was fine, we had a laugh, and then got my car payment turned in.
Thing 2: I got pulled over for crossing left of center while driving this evening/morning. After I had my fiancé call the state police due to a semi almost falling into the median right in front of us. I had to get the officer my license and registration. The registration is waiting on the first one to resolve to correct it. So, as I hand him the registration I also give him my old drivers license. He asks why I have his license, and I respond with the he is me response and tell him to check the numbers and that they are the same. Turned out he is LGBTQ friendly and has a friend who is having difficulty getting her license changed to the correct name and gender. I told him that I received my court order first, than changed the SSN, waited a day, and then changed my drivers license. I got off with a warning, might have helped having provided some help for him to pass on to his friend.
