Brand new to this

I'm a 36 year old female. I've always been a tom boy. Totally not feminine. Once I hit puberty, and then started having sex, I was always kind of uncomfortable with my vagina. I always have this weird idea that's it's dirty. I've said jokingly forever that my life would be so much easier or better if I was a guy. I never actually thought anything seriously about it until this week I happened to mention it to an online friend in a discussion and she said, you know that is a thing, you could actually be a guy if that's what you want. It was like a lightbulb went off. So I've been glued to my computer researching all kinds of FTM stuff. It's very complicated and a bit overwhelming, but I keep thinking, I could totally do this. That could be me. I already set up an appointment with my therapist for next week so we'll see what he says. I guess I'm on here to get some guidance on where to go from here.

Hi AJ Welcome to Susan's, I'm Jessica! I'm a transgender woman, but there are many ftm transgender folks here.  It is a nice revelation when that light bulb goes off.  I'm glad you have an appointment with a therapist.  They will help.  I'm glad your here.

I'm 40 and have recently started my journey. Good thing talking to the therapist. What ever the result of that appointment, you should seek for an experienced gender therapist. Maybe your therapist knows someone?
