Just thought I should point out that Biber died in January of 2006... if your plans are to have surgery with him, you might want to consider a different option.

Yes, thank you for pointing that out.  There are also some surgeons who are retired (Menard, Schrang, Seghers, Pichet and some others).

BTW, someone said that I hadn't included Dr. Kunaporn.  ::)  Well, Dr. Kunaporn is Dr. Sanguan.  I guess some people in the community know him by both names.

Dr. "K" to those of us who were fortunate enough to choose him as surgeon!  He did a wonderful job for me!

Hugs,

Sara ...

Actually, Royle would probably have been an excellent choice, his pictorial meows on the Lawrence website are beautiful.

It was Dr. Bowers.  Exactly five months ago :)
I thought you went after me at the end of August?

Anyway, Dr. Bowers for me too. :D

August 29 to be precise.  Have we met before? ;) Ha ha ha ha

So its Brassard just pipping Marci, with Suporn hot on their heels ....  :) ....
Really surprised that Meltzer is not in contention ?
I'm of course a "Brassard girl", and he truly is a wizard !

Could someone produce a list like that for U.K surgeons? I can see there a couple of U.K NHS surgeons on the list, but none that are recommended and some have long since retired.

Nothing has happened yet, but I'm pretty much  (well, about 98%) decided on Dr Haertsch, seeing as I don't want to travel overseas for SRS.

He's in Sydney, if you were wondering :).

Time to bring back this topic, considering that everyone seems to be having surgery lately.  I have added a few more surgeons!

Forgot Bev Fischer - the keyhole wizard!

Indeed, I did!  She's been added to the poll now!

Still looking, but Tuan Nguyen is on the list because he is close to me.  But if I didnt have to consider the raising of money I would most likely go with ether Bowers or McGinn.

But there is still a lot of time from here to there.

Suporn on August 7th.
Now if only I could sit properly without my doughnut.

Dr. Stanley H. Biber, April 15, 1974. He was the ONLY one doing regular surgery then - the few others were more "study groups" that were nearly impossible to get into. Dr. Biber waived his fee and did mine as "a charity case" because I was at the end of my rope and everybody knew it. He saved my life.

I'm planning on Dr. Brassard towards the end of 2009, September would be about right. As previously mentioned, Dr. Meltzer is the most expensive, which, unfortunately, eliminated him from consideration. I feel that Dr. Brassard is an excellent choice, and he'll receive my deposit in January.
