I was asked to speak at my union rally C.U.P.E at Queen Park in Toronto About Bill 33 (time to care act) which requires 4 hours of standard care for residents in long term care home. I have done a lot of work on this project. I am honored but nerves as hell it is on thing speaking in front of a few hundred people but this is thousands and being on t.v. Is crapping myself now.Why did I say yes. Still working on my voice. But I am happy about it.

I hope it goes (went?) well for you today! Good for you for speaking out!

Today I am happy to be home and two weeks post GCS. It is so odd to have something taken away to make me feel complete.

Let's see, great day and it's not even over yet.

Started out using my daughter's car to go K-Mart because two of their stores are closing.  Bought some fem clothing; jeans, blouses, and shoes.  As I checked out I got 40 bucks cash back.

Then I went to my post office box and there was a certificate for $5.00 free slots at a local gambling place.  Then I went to the gambling place and left with 85 dollars (won 60) and arrived home.

My daughter, Katie, easier than saying daughter all the time, was still asleep (she works two jobs) so I went back to the gambling place "Dotty's" and won another $40.00.  When home and Katie was ready to go to work so I went with her because I needed to go to Lowe's and get some gardening stuff.

After dropping her off I stopped at another local casino, Santa Fe  Station and lost 20 and despite my better judgement put another five bucks in the Buffalo slot machine and ended up winning $100.00.  However, the demon got me and I ended up leaving with $45.00, so I was twenty ahead.

Went to Lowe's and purchased the items I needed and left.  Then went to K-Mart again and they have a gambling den in their store (all stores have them here).  I ended up leaving with 80 dollars so I won another 60.00.

So, I then went to Albertson's and bought some groceries.  I ended up paying $63.00 and that was only 37% of the total bill.  So between gambling and groceries, I've kinda cleared close to $300.00 today.

And there's still six hours left in today :)

Yeah, apparently a law went into effect this year that gcs and ba is a requirement for insurance on CA.  To everyone should move here:)

Just sitting here in fairly neutral clothes(well, jeans and a black cold shoulder top, nothing pink or frilly), no makeup but a bit of lipstick, and without effort I felt perfectly feminine. Despite the slightly visible regrowing chest hair, and beard shadow. Normally I don't feel this way unless I'm fully done up with not a touch of male hair showing. Maybe it's the HRT, maybe not. Whatever the reason, it's a damn good feeling.

I can understand that.  Just being around the house in even jeans and a top with my earrings in I feel really relaxed.  Like it's always suppose to have been this way.  Then for whatever reason I have to leave my sanctuary and get into boy mode which sucks.

Roll, reading your post makes me feel great.  A reminder the mind is a foundation of transition.

As for what makes me happy today.  Although I'm still on bed rest until later today, I have discovered I can carefully move my legs around with relatively little pain in the surgical area less than 48 hours after GCS.  And I am no longer on any pain meds - not even an aspirin.

If they cover BA, they might cover other things like hair removal and voice lessons if prescribed by your doctor.

I went to the women's march in my town today. There was some drama around it because a lot of women were under the impression that they discriminate against trans women and women of color but it was absolutely not the case, they had black lives matter and trans lives matter chants and I made sure to record footage of both of them!

I enjoyed group last night.  For some reason a couple people start talking politics at this group every time.  I usually just shut down when this happens.  Well, last night I spoke up, respectfully.  Basically asking if we can get back to trans related stuff and leave politics aside.  I could tell they were judging me like I was one of 'them' in their eye.  I quickly told the group, I don't engage in political discussions in polite groups.  I find it distasteful.  We got back to trans discussions and it turned out to be a better group meeting because of it

Finally got my ears pierced today!!! Ended up going with ruby, since that's my birthstone. Ended up spending WAY more than I intended, both on the starters and because Claire's had an incredible buy 3 get 3 sale, plus an extra 20% off for having my ears pierced. I've not got a ton of earrings that I can wear... eventually. Plus a new necklace, and a few things my friend picked out for herself (it was HER birthday, after all  ;D ).

Being able to stand up and take a shower completely on my own after GCS.  Wow that felt great.

And reading about my mud-masked marching pierced-ear sisters asserting ourselves at meetings and at work makes me happy.
