I didn't find the pain to be that bad - mostly just an occasional sting, almost like being snapped with a rubber band.

The smell though... that's absolutely awful.

If I remember right, the smell happens when hair gets burned, which can happen more if you miss some when shaving.  It's been a year or so since I had laser so I'm not 100% on that.

The twin sisters have been acting up for two days now.  The braille appeared on the aureola of both a few days ago (Montgomery glands) and nips are sore :(
Haven't had much pain but criminarys they itch some times still.

What made me happy today was spending nearly the entire day with two wonderful women I met here at Susan's.  Laurie and Michelle helped me feel and look as the woman that has been hiding inside me.  I felt so comfortable strolling through town, having lunch and enjoying talking about so many things.  They made me feel special that they took the love and care to help me be who I am.  I love them both for what they have done for me.

Smiling, Jess

Awww, that's nice of both you and him!

Got a check in the mail for winning my fantasy baseball league (finally!).

It was made out to Tonya, so I guess that means this years draft won't be quite as awkward as it might have been.  Other than my brother, I mostly only see the rest of the league in person at the draft.

Though I transitioned over a year ago, I've never really had to interact that much with people I don't know.

My friend was celebrating her birthday last night at a bar. The only person I knew who went was her. Since she was being a dutiful host I couldn't talk with her that much. Instead I was talking with the girls that were there. It was great. I didn't have to pretend to be interested with what the guys were taking about.

My voice kept cracking like I was a teenager. I thought that was funny.

And the guys kept paying for everything. Which was nice.

Also, the other day another friend called me a "bitch." Which made me so happy because she meant it like a woman and not like a gay male.

I uploaded some name change paperwork to my bank a few days ago. It is taking some time for the update to percolate through, but today I was able to order a debit card with my new name! It is simply an awesome feeling to see my new name appearing on more and more things.

Awesome.

The lady at my bank that notarized my Petition For Name Change said to come back when it's official and she'll take care of it.  6 weeks until my hearing though.  A lot of waiting involved in this transition stuff.

Tell me about it!  I mean it took me 40 years to get to this point, I don't particularly want to wait another day!

But it is *so* worth it.  You'll have an ear to ear smile on your face when you're holding your name change order!

And when you get your drivers license with the name, picture, and gender marker all correct... WOOOOO!

Monday is my big day at the DMV.  Then I'll be impatiently waiting.  :)  I'll probably end up being so excited when it arrives that I'll be running around and showing it to random strangers!

Not sure where you are, but here in Florida they make the new one right there and you walk out with it. The lady took my picture and said, "Oh, I think you'll like it." That was the understatement of the year!

I'm in Colorado - and they make us wait!  I don't think I've been this impatient about a driver's license since I was 16.  And somehow I think this will be way better!  Even the temporary paper license they give out will make me really, really happy though.  :)

Mine never really hurt.  Everyone else always said theirs did so I was concerned, but they are there and still still growing. Small for certain, but they can be seen.
