Ashley,

Thank you and love you girl! You have provided me a challenge, next year I will nail a bikini, not just for an "Older woman" but just nail it! Whether or not I succeed is not the point, I will get it done.

Tia Anne

A worthy goal indeed my dear sister! I find it to be the world's most liberating garment!!! Our weather has been absolutely gorgeous here and I try to squeeze in a nice walk at the beach in one of my bikinis every day I have time!!!

Onward brave sister!!!

The one person at work who had an issue with my transition came around and used Sarah and she in a conference call... My heart jumped for joy

I had to go to Home Depot in male drag and a female cashier opened up a new register, looked right at me and smiled and said: "I can help you over here Maam"

Nothing today but yesterday I had a phone call with the lady at Planned Parenthood regarding an issue with my estrogen.  I got the problem taken care of and found out I don't have to make a road trip next month to go see her.  I can do the appointment over the phone and have a local lab do my blood work.  So happy about this.

Also earlier this week I got an email from my sister.  My nephew is already calling me his aunt. Plus I'm taking a four day weekend this week.

Congrats! I've started my first session of genital laser hair removal a few weeks ago. It stings quite a lot, but it helps to just laugh it off. :)

The reason I'm happy is because I just realized that next week will mark my first month on hormones and anti-androgen! :D

I taught a two hour class last night, on radio frequency propagation, antennas, and feedlines, and had absolutely no issues arise about me. That was nice.

I just finished prepping 129 amateur radio license examinations for a testing session in a few weeks. All done, and once the gallon or so of coffee wears off I'm going to bed for 12-16 hours.  I'm getting too old for 40 hour days, but I made it.

Actually a week ago or so, I was at physical therapy, in the pool and one of the other therapist came in the room and was talking to the lady I was working with that day about the filter on the pool being loud. She said to the other lady, "Just turn the switch back on after she's done in the pool". Everyone there has been super nice so far. I've only worked with two ladies and the guy that does the evaluations. Next week I'm scheduled for some other guy twice. I'd rather have one of the ladies, especially if I'm in the pool. I've been using some Bermuda shorts and an exercise tank top with built in shelf bra. Guess I'll see what the other guy is like next week.

Oh and also my hair is just long enough for a real short ponytail.  ;)

Michelle, do you ever deal with ionospheric and tropospheric refraction delays?

Eeep!  Braver than I am. Yes, I'm chicken about pools. (Ancient dive accident, being trans puts the cherry on top)

But their being so accepting and welcoming is great!  Congrats on doing this, and being your authentic self with them.

It doesn't come up in the usual classes other than tangentially, such as in polarization effects and phase shifts in multipath propagation.  The students have enough troubles with refraction vs reflection.  [emoji6]

Megan.

My sister came for lunch today with her husband,  my niece and nephew. Only my sister had met Megan before,  so I was a little nervous,  but I cooked a yummy roast dinner,  and everyone was totally cool.
Wonderful to have acceptance from those closest to us [emoji4].

Just ran by the pharmacy and picked up my estrogen patch.  That was a rough two days without it.  They gave me all three boxes this time instead of one box a month.  So I'm good for 12 more weeks unless they up my dose next month.  Wonder how many patches I can fit on my butt.

I shaved my legs for the first time, and I did not knick them once. I also missed a couple hairs.
