Quote from: Roll on November 02, 2017, 10:40:39 PMAt first I thought I'd put this in the happy and sad thread, but ya know what... it's a bit bittersweet, but not truly sad, and I'm going to focus on the happy. So for the past few years, given my living situation and general lack of socialization, my step-brother has been my one friend to just sort of hang out with, do random stuff like play games with, talk about movies and tv, etc. It has become a tradition for us to go see the new releases of comic book movies the Thursday preview showing, and tonight of course was the release of Thor Ragnarok. Well, my plan is to come out to everyone here in the next week or two as I begin HRT (I've said before I don't want to be doing it in secret), and while I don't expect hostility at all, I do expect a degree of awkwardness when it comes to my step-brother which may very well spell the end of us grabbing food, seeing movies, etc. So this movie may very well be the last of that tradition. But it was a good meal, and an amazing movie, and just was overall a fun time had. I feel like if it is the end... well, it's good to go out on a high note, and this was definitely one, and I'm happy that I had this exceptional normalcy before things really start to go nuts. (Seriously, amazing movie.)
Quote from: Sarah_P on November 03, 2017, 05:31:34 PMGoing to see Thor with a bunch of friends tomorrow! Not the one I'm attracted to, though. Glad to hear it's good. I'll try my best not to swoon if / when Hemsworth loses his shirt....
Quote from: Bari Jo on November 04, 2017, 12:57:55 AMI got my ears pierced today. Then i talked with some neighbors afterwards in our courtyard. My immediate neighbor helps run the local lgbt office. She said it was a good look for me. Another neighbor, guy, said its opening up past metro, and i should be careful. I am not out to any of my neighbors, but i do like their comments:)Bari Jo

Quote from: Doña on October 28, 2017, 02:31:13 PMI started HRT yesterday. The glow of knowing I'm doing something proactive and positive after all this time is still making me very happy today.

Quote from: ToriJo on November 04, 2017, 07:27:03 PMWow, we're going at a similar pace in our transitions I think - I just got mine pierced today. (if anyone is worried about the pain, if you survive any electrolysis, this is nothing!) I'm wearing a metal ball in each ear now. We'll see if anyone at work notices. But this is my happy thing for today!
