I finally managed to get my ears pierced!

Yay Artesia! Looks like a Piercing Pagoda. That's where I got mine done about a month ago. Other than some misgendering when the lady looked at my driver's license, it was a very cool experience, and something I've been wanting for 50 years. Feels great, doesn't it?

Oh my!! I can't believe I forgot that part of the experience.  She used female pronouns the entire time, even after seeing my license.  She even put me in the computer as Claire, and let me sign the papers as Claire as well.  And, yes, it was the Piercing Pagoda, in the mall in Lafayette Indiana.

And my court date for my name/gender change is in February!

Fantastic! The lady who did mine wasn't unfriendly, but she also wasn't as accommodating as yours. Yours was a lot younger, and those generations tend to be much more accepting.

And congratulations on the court date. I've filed the paperwork and am waiting for the background check to complete so I can schedule mine. Sounds like you have to wait a long time. I hear it's about a month here in Florida. We'll see.

I think it's because of the holidays.  Fewer days for the government to get anything done, so they push non-essential cases back to get the time sensitive ones done first.

Got an Email from estate agent lady that did flat inspection to Davina and when I got to work today manager had left envelope with my 6 month report with Davina on it. Megan seeing your new? hair do made me happy.

Called my OBGYN (she takes care of my HRT) for the 6 month checkup appointment. Lady scheduling the appointments understood "I am due in January" and immediately asked "So, you are pregnant?".... I actually said "I am due for my checkup in January". Anyways, was a pretty funny moment... I think once she looked up my data she understood why I laughed...

This was yesterday, but still...

A little background: Many years ago, in a playful mood, my wife bought me thong underwear. I loved them and wore them until they were too ragged.

Last week I got a coat in Burlington Coat Factory and noticed that they also had intimates. It got me thinking, "could I"?

Yesterday I went in and bought a three pack. I took them home, took a shower and put a pair on. They fit. They felt comfortable. I checked, my tuck works in them. All I needed was a bit of a razor trim. I'm wearing a pair right now!

Being able to rock a thong is a real dysphoria killer! I bet I could manage a mini-skirt, too!

Follow up to this and my post right after it in this thread. Yesterday a friend gave me a pair of hirajuku thigh high socks that someone had given her. They fit and they're really cute unfortunately I have nothing to wear them with. I have to rectify that.

Second, about the thong underwear and yes you can laugh, I did: I wore them again today after washing them and thought they had shrunk unevenly because they were laying funny. As it turns out I had somehow put them on sideways!

I have done that a number of times. I grab them, think "tag goes on left", pull up and then stand there for about 5 seconds in complete confusion before it dawns on me what I did. Again.
