I was literally just laid back on a couch peddling for the better part of an hour half asleep. Can't be good for keeping heart rate up for burning calories, but still.

When watching a movie with my sister, she got super irritated and jealous so I had to let her use it for the last half of the movie. At some point I plan to break the space time continuum by peddling from a massage chair while eating Cheetos.

Anywho, for the thread in general... Just worked up the courage to call local dermatologist to ask about cost for laser hair removal of beard area. She said outright they've never done it before and would have to ask. Sooooooooo. Yeah. Was really, really awkward, but I made myself do it and survived. Even had the courage to leave my name for them to get back to me.

I'm not too worried about the facial hair removal people.  From what I've looked at as far as advertising here in Vegas, they have women and men's service so some guy calling or coming in isn't a big issue.  And that brings to mind a question.  If that's so, how many closet cis men get the hair removed?

Ellie, a word of caution for having inexperienced hair removal technicians (inexperienced as in not having worked with a masculine beard) working on your face. It costs lots of money and a skilled technician can do wonders. An inexperienced one will cost just as much and may either be ineffective or possibly damaging. Good luck with your choices. You may want to seek some guidance from local transgender support groups for who has been good and who hasn't.

Yeah, I felt really awkward making that appointment too! They didn't sound at all confused though, since there are cis men who get lasered just so they don't have to shave anymore. Not every guy likes having facial hair! They knew exactly why I was getting it done though on the last 2 appointments, since it was Sarah that showed up(they were very cool about it, and happily changed my name in the system).

Just did a little searching (I'm sure you already have though), and I don't see any laser specialists much closer to you than Atlanta or Jacksonville. Anne is right, if they haven't worked with facial hair, they may not understand that it's much different than body hair (and much more stubborn!). Maybe they can at least give you a discount for being a guinea pig test subject?

There aren't any local support groups and it is the only place not a 90 minute drive unfortunately. :/ I'm in beggars can't be choosers territory at the moment unfortunately. It is however an actual dermatologist, not just a laser clinic, so that's a plus I guess.

That was how I found this place. Only other one in the area is just IPL. Though if the cost is high (which it will almost certainly be) I probably will just do one session here to get the ball rolling and then groupon something in the larger markets.

I had a videoconferencing meeting today with another of our partners. the partners meeting room was ran by someone I have worked with extensively, but it had been about a year.  he asked us to introduce ourselves around the table since heh not met all of us.  I realized half way through it was me he didn't recognize.  I looked at the video feed and I didn't recognize myself.  I wouldn't say passing, but definitely some female characteristics.  That made me super happy today.  Now if only I can get my hairline fixed, I may be closer to passing!

lots of little things today!

I saw my old boss at work and I told him I was going to look for a new job and I asked if I could use him as a reference and he said yes

I confirmed with my union that I am vested, so I can quit and find a new job and still keep my annuity and pension

I looked at some bills and found that I will have 2 big ones paid off by the middle of next year

I found out that my younger sister isn't moving back until April now, which is a relief because now I don't have to rush to move out of my mom's, I have an extra month or so now to save up for my own apartment

My older sister called me just to shoot the breeze and we ended up talking for 20 minutes. We've gotten closer this year after my grandma passed away and I think this weekend I'm finally going to come out to her

I had electrolysis tonight and she finally started working on my mustache, I can see the progress on it already!

and one of my best friends sent me a pic of the first ultrasound of her baby!!!!
