Seeing my sister get so excited about both her acceptance letter to Virginia Tech (she had a clean sweep of acceptance for everywhere she applied, but that was the big surprise since her math scores were lower than her language scores by a good bit) and also about her going to prom on Saturday! Despite the fact she is gorgeous she has never really dated, and so never winds up getting to go to dances or events like that. She doesn't have a date, but she and a few people who are in the same situation are going together just to say they went and have a chance to dress up. By some miracle she fit perfectly in a dress my step mother had for a wedding she wound up not being able to go to, that by all accounts looks like it was tailor made just for my sister (I haven't seen yet). I'm so incredibly happy for her and how excited she is, and also more than quite a bit jealous!

Now you have to get one of those ticker things so you can see how long you've been on HRT and we'll have to find you some patience's pills, lol.

On International Women's Day, and appropriately enough, I came out in the one remaining place I had left: WORK!

Another coming out, to my mom's sister (one of literally only 4 people I care to tell in my extended family, meaning 3 more and I am simply out). Went amazing, she is such a sweet person. I still can't believe how lucky I've been on coming out so far. (The two on my dad's side will be much iffier.)

Thanks, all!  Today was my first day where all my coworkers knew who I was.  I worked remotely, but participated on several conference calls and such - and was consistently gendered and named properly (despite IT being a bit slower than I would like changing my name on all the computer accounts!).  I had a lot of very nice notes and IMs from coworkers today.

I'll be terrified next week when my coworkers see me for the first time, but the hard part is done.  I'm really looking forward to getting my new security badge next week.  🙂

@ ToriJo:  Thanks for letting us know how it went on your first day, I was wondering how that would turn out after you mentioned it on a previous post of yours.  Now, the mostly scary part is over then the next episode of being terrified is next week..  Be confident and self assured and hold your head high.  After next week you will be on the home stretch... congratulations... and keep the updates coming, and perhaps a photo from next week??.. but only if you feel comfortable doing it.

So today I went shopping with my wife. We started with a few small town antique shops looking for a new kitchen table. We found a cute black and light blue ice cream table with two chairs. After that we went to the mall.  I wanted to go by Victoria's Secret for a bra fitting. We found a very helpful sales lady to do the fitting for me. I found out I'm now a 36B. This made me very happy.  This is the size that I wanted to get to. I figured not too bad for 7 months of HRT. I also got five new pairs of panties.  We shopped by another store and found a few cute dresses and a skirt.  We stopped by a few more places but nothing exciting like VS was.

Tomorrow we continue the search for two more chairs and plus we were be visiting a Italian place that just opened up for lunch. I've been on vacation all week for my kids spring break so it made it a good time all in all.  Plus I visited a potential salon for my hair and make-up in the near future. Feeling better about my future as a woman.

@ RobynTx:   Congratulations on your bra fittling ...   for most trans-women that is a difficult and nerve wracking endeavor, and also for those who are new to the bra fitting experience.  It is great to get the proper size and proper fit, it will not only be more comfortable but it will give a much better appearance as you present yourself as a woman.  You are correct, for 7 months of HRT, a B cup is terrific... there are many tran-women that barely get to a B cup after years of HRT.   
Ahhh, you will enjoy being pampered in a salon for hair and make-up.... it will be a great feeling when you look in the mirror afterwards.

Thank you.  I'll see what I can do on updates.  Today I got new glasses since my old ones were male and very old.  Got one pair that the metal frame is a pink-purple color and the other are heavier black frames.  Then I got a pair of black pumps.  I have to re-interview to keep my job here in a month or so and I needed shoes.  Now I got to find a top that will go with the rest of the outfit.

I can't wait for the salon.  I'll be taking my wife when I go so she can meet the group there.
