Hi.
The link below is my Transgender Health Bible. Some might suggest that most hormone medications are safe with no proof that they may cause you harm. I feel I would rather take notice of the experts in this medical field.
http://transhealth.phsa.ca/medical-options/hormones/feminizing-hormonesIf you are on HRT, you are obviously transitioning. Therefore it is very important that you do NOT self medicate. You need the advice of a Gender Specialist Doctor who will arrange regular blood and other tests. I am very fortunate to have one.
Some hormone medications may be dangerous to your health and may also effect your emotions. My own little group of Sisters will be attending a funeral today for our beautiful Sarah, who committed suicide. On occasions, she had self medicated with Progesterone. We are not sure how she got it or how often she used it. We firmly believe that her depression was a results of taking this medication. I guess there would be some ladies here that have been using this medication with no side effects. I am only suggesting here that you do not SELF medicate. Please read the notes at the link above regarding "Some quick notes about progesterone therapies:"
There have been some post regarding achieving Curves.. The good news is.. Some of us may develop a CIS female form while on HRT.. Over a period of time the body fat it seems can get redistributed to the areas we all want.. Goodbye belly fat and hello thighs and hips..

I guess it all depends on at what age you started on HRT.
I have only been on HRT for about 16 months, and already I have noticed my skin is much more smoother and heaps less hair on the arms and legs. All abdomen hair has already gone. Chest hair is very minimal.. No change to face or pubic hair and I also feel my head hair has stopped falling out.

In fact I feel its getting thicker with more growth. However, I do take Biotin to promote healthy head hair. I have also stopped using normal soap shampoos and replaced that for soap free. it really does make a big difference.
After 14 months, my boobs are defiantly making progress. A good hand full, firm and perky.

Actually, they sometime get in the way..

For me its early days. But so far I am soo happy I stated on HRT.. I already had a very high level of oestrogen in my blood. I am very lucky I have a great Gender Doctor who really does care and takes good care of me. That is very important for my general wellbeing, self-esteem and overall good health..
I have read that over time, HRT can make a difference to the features on your face.. I have noticed I have a glow to the skin and my skin is softer. Sad to say, my face hair is grey so laser will not work. I know some here have had similar issues with face hair colour so consequently had Electrolysis.. It can be very effective but very costly and apparently very painful.. I am praying for better technology.. Hair removal is a billion dollar industry so the removal of ALL hair types might well be a technology we see soon.. While they are at it, I sure hope they also develop a technology that regrows male pattern boldness. YAY!!
Take care Sisters. Stay healthy..!!
