A proper gaff for moderate exercise!

Hi all,
just wanted to share my experience here. I've heard that taping is basically a no-no for exercise (and TBH it's a pain). Tight underwear wasn't cutting it for anything more than walking and sitting.

So I made a gaff based on the widely circulated instructions around a length of sock and panty hose waist band.

I didn't have/want to destroy a pair of hose, but I had an elastic hair band on hand (one of those kinds designed to hold it all back around your whole head.

I'm happy to report that if the hair band can be comfortably pulled on without too much pressure that it's enough to hold securely and comfortable for moderate exercise.

I went for a 7 mile hike and a little rock climbing in leggings and felt secure the whole time.

Just a tip if someone else didn't feel like ruining a pair of tights.

Have to agree, regular underwear just don't cut it for those of us that are active. Doing the tights and sock trick kinda hurt for me. Seemed to put too much pressure in certain places and I could only bear it for a few hours at most.
I found that swimwear bottoms work very well though. I usually Buy them a size small from walmart during off season clearance(about 3$ a pair). Keeps all the ladybits where they need to be, even while running/working outside in the heat.

I've been doing ok  tucking with underwear a size smaller than normal.  Been ok at gym also.  Usually wear leggings or yoga pants.  Not much of the "beans" left so easier now, no tape needed.

Good tip on the swim bottoms! It's true that it can begin to put pressure in uncomfortable areas over time. But I find that if I get a good initial fit (making sure EVERYTHING is in the gaff) there usually isn't too much trouble.

I still use this method if I want to be absolutely certain that everything stays in place.

I've been engineering my own gaffs, started by making a pattern from one I bought. And have gone through a few revisions and a mountain of spandex and various linings. The best thing so far was eliminating seams that would pinch sensitive areas. I get a good flat tuck without tape now and can go all day and nite.

Could you post a picture of the hair band, because I don't quite understand how it would work. Probably, because English is not my native language.

I wear the regular gaff type and it works, especially now since hormones have shrunk everything to so tiny, that it's not hard to hide everything anymore.

The only problem being, that wearing the gaff for 15 to 18 hours a day (long shifts at hospital) means, that I basicaly have constant infection down there (outch), because of course it's not a very good idea to pack certain body parts, which contain mucous membrane for long periods of time. It doesn't allow these parts to breath and thus, infection. Also I think the fact that these lady parts being so close to rectum, means that there is different bacteria now being close proximity. Bacteria which previously didn't have access to dangling lady parts :)

It's the same problem which concerns the cis women and post-op women.

For me, wearing a bikini bottom has been enough.

I have purchased all of my bikinis from AliExpress.com, which usually cost < US$ 10.

Just do it.

I've tried the gaff method and thnk it's too painful for me to wear all day. I have a few polyester shorts that manage to keep everything in place most of the time. It's not very functional when exercising or wearing tight things.

I'll have to improve my gaff technique since I'm picking up martial arts in a few months and my current method won't do the job then. Maybe bikini bottoms work..

This is probably the first time I've ever heard of anyone having this issue to be honest. I wear mine 24/7 (Can't stand not to) and have been doing so since 2014.

With a little practice, bikini bottoms are amazing. I live a very active outdoor lifestyle and nothing else has worked for me. They're also more comfortable than anything else I've tried. No tape required.

This is the hair band I'm talking about. Basically just a length of elastic. http://www.scunci.com/21253
There are other ways to do it, but that's what I had on hand and it fit.

Well I never had much infection down there before, but now after wearing a gaff constantly it just somehow affects to the situation, that I have infection down there going on. Even when I change the gaff twice a day at work and I don't wear the gaff at home or when I sleep, it still doesn't help.

Most of the urinary infections with women is caused because the anus is so close to uretha. The same thing happens now with the gaff. However, it is not urinary infection that I have and I've tried to use the instructions which is given to women suffering from constant urinary infections, but with little effect.

I don't know if I just pack everything too tightly or way too back. Don't know, I don't feel the gaff anymore and I feel just fine with it...and most importantly, I look just fine with tight jeans or leggins or panties or any clothes :)

My mother said she used to struggle with UTI's once upon a time. The doctor she was going to for them said it could have been related to what you're on about. He actually suggested she try using baby wipes when she used the ladies room. Basically cleaning her bottom better than just using paper. Fixed the issue almost immediately.

ABSOLUTELY. I got a couple really bad UTI's trying to keep my penis out of sight 24/7 until I realized what was causing them. It's the same reason you pat when you pee and wipe front to back when you go to the bathroom. It's even more important these days with all the exercise wear and clingy clothes that are so in fashion. And sleeping naked or in something baggy isn't just because the guy's like it. It's important for maintaining healthy bacteria levels in the vagina.

That baby wipe recommendation must have been a long time ago. Too many girls have problems with them. There's a big difference between cleaning off a baby's fingers or poopy bottom and wiping the sensitive mucous linings of your vagina.

Well it's a good thing I was talking about wiping your rear better and not your vagina.. lol

Hmm I have never tried bikini bottoms. I might do that, so wearing just one works?  Or should I wear one on top of the other just in case?

I just wear one. Go one size small so they're tight, but not like.. too tight. Experiment a bit. I promise they work amazingly if you experiment.
!TMI WARNING! lol...
I tuck all the ladybits where they need to go.. then pull the bikini bottom up and then back, like giving myself a wedgie (feels like wearing a thong anyhow). Give any excess in the back a roll over. I can DM a picture if you're not sure what I mean. I wear leggings and workout pants like this without issue. Just avoid the really thin swimwear materials that are shipped in from asia. Op brand at walmart is what I've been using for years
