What changes did you notice within the first 24 hours of your first dose of T? Was it just like you expected, or did any changes take you completely by surprise?

Surprisingly.....no change. People tend to expect taking T would be like taking a magical elixir which will instantaneously get rid if depression/anxiety/dysphoria. It doesn't; that takes time. I was surprised that the T gel caused muscle achyness. I think it also caused a jolt of energy. Apart from that nothing. Not even a growth spurt.
They/them pronouns preferred.

I had a few changes in the first 24 hours, one starting within an hour. I had a shot, which is usually quicker acting than gel or patches, but still I wasn't expecting anything so quickly. And I certainly wasn't expecting my clitoris to retract to the point I couldn't find it within 3 hours (almost 36 hours later, it's just starting to come back out now). I was prepared for cramping, but not debilitating uterine contractions. Thankfully, that only lasted a few hours.

Within 24 hours?

I could fall asleep in under a minute. Man scent appeared.

Next day: a slightly husky throat and a lack of tension or anxiety.

I didn't expect it to do anything. By the end of the week I noticed my muscles were already a little bigger and harder and I hadn't been lifting. I had a ton of energy and a need to get up and use it. I guess the female anatomy was changing that early as well. It was early. Can't recall the exact day or time, but it was one of the first things to change. Unearthed a sex drive that used to be pretty much dead by the first week as well. I'd stopped feeling anywhere near as dysphoric and as depressed or anxious as before.

I'm not sure why my changes were so fast, but in my case I was already suffering a lack of E in my system according to blood work. Maybe that's why T got to work so quick on me. My E was so low I never had periods anyway. For people who have a functioning reproductive system it might take a while to shut it down.

I've heard that the lower your E is, the quicker T affects you because it has less to fight against. So I think you're onto something there.

For new changes today, I had an unusally high amount of energy despite drinking much less coffee than normal. Also, I noticed I smell different this afternoon. My voice feels deeper in my throat when I talk, but I asked someone who knows I've started T if my voice sounded different yet and he said no. I'm hoping it won't be long before my voice deepens, though.

I haven't had a sore throat, but it feels different. Kind of dry, slightly scratchy. But nothing terribly bothersome yet. But it's been less than 48 hours still, so that could change. ;)

I've never gotten a sore throat that is like when you are sick; just slightly irritating. If you get a really bad sore throat it isn't from the T, its cause you are sick and need medicine.

It sounds crazy but I noticed some pain in my groin that I later realized was *ahem* bottom growth beginning. :) Not the norm, that quickly afterwards, but that's the only thing I noticed right away.
