Early in my bra buying life I decided a category called "bralette" would be right for me. I bought one that was little more than elastic fabric with a couple of straps and it did the job, other than the straps being a bit tight. Then I bought a couple of other bras called "bralettes" and they were very different. One with the stated size "almost A" has a bigger cup size than the couple of full A cuppers I owned. And the designs varied considerably.
In other words, there's little value to learning what a bra type is called. There are really no standards in that industry. You just have to look for one that seems like what you want and hope for the best. Be prepared for some trial and error.
