hi guys!
i've been thinking a lot in recent weeks about what i really want when i start t. i've known ever since i realised i was trans that i feel no genital dysphoria and don't want to change anything in that department. but obviously, i feel dysphoria in other areas which would require me to start t. i'm a little apprehensive to look into hormones because i'm scared of bottom growth - so i just came to ask a couple of questions.
1) how penis-like does the clitoris actually become? i know it enlarges, but i have no idea to what extent it actually becomes a dick!
2) how much does it enlarge, roughly? what's the minimum expected growth?
3) when stopping/postponing t, does it revert back to its original size?
4) how does the functionality of it change/how is it affected?
thank you!

1 - it depends. The clitoris and the penis are anatomically similar organs. Until a fetus begins to develop sex specific traits, it's all kinda the same starting point. It will never automatically have a urethra routed through it, nor will it ever ejaculate semen or sperm. But, in most, it does get longer and wider to some degree. The longer and wider it grows, the more penis-like in appearance it becomes.

2 - it depends (seeing a theme?). Most guys will experience some growth. Some experience next to none. Some experience a lot. I would say it's highly likely you will see growth but it's not guaranteed and to what extent it grows is purely genetic and you'll really have no idea until it's done.

3 - if you are on T for any period of time and have experienced growth, it most frequently will not revert to its original size. Again, it depends, and you might see some shrinkage but it's uncommon that it would go completely back to how it was.

4 - it functions the same as it does now but on a larger scale. It will get erect when you're aroused (though it is tethered down with ligaments so without surgery, it's not like a cis male erection). Technically, the clitoris does as well, but it is usually so small it's not super noticeable. It will still be sensitive to stimulation, you can still orgasm through that stimulation. How you prefer stimulation may change because size will affect how it can be "handled".

This is one area where your mileage may really vary. Some people get next to no growth. Most get some, some get a lot. You'll have no way to know until you stop growing, but it is one of the first changes to typically start developing. For me, I had changes in the first week though it took until just over 1 year to finish developing. I was lucky in that department (or unlucky depending on how you're looking at it) and had a lot of growth. But it is highly highly individual.

I know it may not be something you particularly "want" to see, but looking at actual photos is a good idea in this case. What the results actually look like is nothing like the mental image I'd formed from written descriptions when I first started looking into T. You should be able to dig up some medical photos, but honestly, trans man porn is going to give you the biggest sample size.

Like Dex said, the range of results can vary a lot, and there's no way to predict exactly how much growth you'll get. But you should probably get a general idea of what the range is before you commit, since the change is permanent.

It looks a lot like a dick. Gets erections, 200% more sensitive, more nerves grow in it, obviously. But the results judging by photos vary a lot. There's no way to know exactly what it's gonna turn out like till you take the jump.

I was told average is about 1.5-2.5 inches, some people are bigger/smaller

Nope, it ain't going back the way it was once you take T long enough. It's permanent change of form.

Well it functions roughly in the same way, except you can do more with it. Bigger it is, more you can do with it, technically. Structure is different, since it basically gets an amount of foreskin that doesn't exist before.

1.) It ends up looking like a small dick with the inner lips becoming the foreskin.  Iirc, if you were a cis male, anatomically speaking, that's pretty much what would have happened anyways.

2.) Normally it grows about an inch or two, so (unfortunately!) not very big.

3.) Whatever growth occurs is permanent.

4.) Oh man, I have become WAY more sensitive!  My orgasms are IMVHO, better than before!  I can get off with both my fingers and a vibrator now, something I wasn't able to do before.  I definitely prefer having a dick than the hit-or-miss I jad before bottom growth, which is probably a good reason WHY I didn't masturbate as much prior to dick growth.  But of course, everyone's different.

I didn't read anyone else's answers before adding my own, so if this is a repeat of what others have said, that's why.

Good luck!
