I have been on HRT 3 years total ...   ½ year self med and the last 2½ years with a doctors guidance.  Full time for 15 months and 100% passing.  I am very happy with the results so far... body shape and facial features feminization, thinner hair regrowth, loss of body mass and bulk and a C-cup.   :)    Only thing I am missing so far is bigger hips.

As of this writing I've been on HRT 8 months 4 days, and considering that the first 90 days were minuscule dosages, I really consider it to be just over 5 months. I am full-time, have not been misgendered by strangers in quite a while now (friends and family are another matter, but they're trying), have done all laser can do for the face and am starting electrocution on Wednesday, and have a consultation for GCS on March 16th. I am 59 years old, and time's awastin'!

Though I'm substantially older than you are, my dreams would come true if I could look anywhere as good as you in another 2 years 4 months. Considering my progress so far, I'm beginning to think there's a small possibility of that, and the thought almost brings me to tears. It's a strange new attitude for someone who had been a chronic cynical pessimist.

I've been on hrt 3 years. I've had good results. My hips, thighs and butt have filled out nicely. My boobs are almost a C cup and I'm still having some small growth spurts there. It's also made my face more feminine. It also changed my body odors and even changed my pubic hair.

@ Stephanie:   Thank you very much for your kind words!!!  HRT has been mostly a fun ride this last 3 years and this last year has been wonderful... my body is doing what HRT does best and I love it.

May I suggest patience with your HRT expectations?....  For me, the first 1½ years yielded less than spectacular results and then in my 3rd year finally a C cup and significant body and face changes.  Of course as everyone says on here "your mileage may vary" ....  HRT can affect every body differently.

I hope that you are coming out of you pessimistic shell, I am an optimist and always try to look at the bright side.
An old quote by Winston Churchill sums it up perfectly:
"The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."

As a final note, I sincerely hope that in your reply comment that your spell checker changed what you wrote....
Quote: "...have done all laser can do for the face and am starting electrocution on Wednesday..."
Please do not schedule yourself for electrocution !!!

Again, thanks for your nice words and thanks for your update.  Looking forward to tracking your progress... and perhaps some pictures would be nice too.  It is nice to see that you are a brave woman and made the significant step of going full time!!  That is always a big step
Best Wishes,
Aspiringperson

I'm a large B-cup too!
It seams that younger transitioners have better boob growth.
Would it come because we have more human growth hormone?
I envy you for not needing FFS.
I pass but don't look conventionally attractive.
I wonder if I would have been prettier had I started 3 years earlier.
You had the luck of overcoming a lot of T-damage!
I need FFS.
I wonder if an orchiectomy would give enhanced feminization.

Does anyone have any thoughts on starting HRT herbally? I've begun taking two tablespoons of flax seed per day as I've read that it's a natural T inhibitor. Does anyone know if anything herbal that might increase estrogen?

I have been on HRT for 32 months now, almost 3 years. I have had lots of changes. Some people even comment I look shorter. I don't know how that is possible. My whole body softened and my face is much more femme. That said, I still wish I could afford FFS.

Have you tried using different makeup tricks? One of the guys I work with is an awesome makeup artist as well as a hairstylist and he taught me a lot about how you can change the look of your face with layering and contouring. It's amazing what you can do with it. You can change the shape of your face, change how your nose looks and change the shape of your eyes which is my favorite, all with the right makeup techniques.

SarahFehrman:  As many others have mentioned on here, for them Herbals produced minimal changes at best if at all.  I did Herbals for ½ year before I started ½ year of self medicated HRT (not suggested) and then the last 2½ years under a doctors supervision.  Medically supervised HRT is the safe and effective way to go in my opinion.
My doctor told me that at the higher doses, the Herbals can do more harm than good... they can upset the delicate balance in your body and affect how your liver, kidneys, pancreas and other organs work and can even cause problems with those essential organs.
All of this is just my personal experience and my personal opinion and has no bearing on what Herbals will do for any other person.
My best advice is that if you want to transition and/or change your body, get medical supervision with actual HRT drugs.
Wishing you good fortune on your transition adventure.  Stay safe, treat your body well, you only have ONE of those.!!!

With make-up contouring I look like a model some say.
Without contouring I look like a soft butch lesbian.

Hi Transfused,

I was 33 years old when I started HRT in 1998.  As with so many others, my only regret is that I did not start hormones years sooner.

To be fair, the 7 year marriage that ended just prior to my HRT commitment was one of the great highlights of my life.  The love that I experienced with my first wife taught me what it means to love with all my heart.  I would not have wanted to miss those 7 adventurous years for anything, not even to transition earlier in life.

Love,
Miharu

Seriously, my thoughts exactly. Miharu you actually mean you transitioned at 10 years old don't you? By the way your post about your marriage is so endearing...
