SomeWhereInBetween

Hi!  :)

I'm new here, first post and all, no idea where to post because everything is so organized =D  I had a couple questions and not sure where to put them, but I guess I should provide some background for them anyways.

I'm late 30's been married for 13 years, can remember fantasizing about being a girl at least as young as 8, and dressing since.  Looking through old childhood picture I got from my parents, I was full of cliche feminine mannerisms in many pictures.  I'd be dressing since I was young too.  My wife has known since we were dating, we actually meet on a bdsm site int he gender play section, so I have lots of support there.

I've never really attached a label to myself and I dont know what the correct one would be to be honest.  I enjoy doing both guy and girl stuff, i'd rather dress as a woman all the time, I generally find male clothes annoying and unattractive.  When I see women other than my wife I tend to envy their shape and clothing then find actual interest in them.  On the other hand I love doing classically guy things and outdoor activities and both my wife and I enjoy our sex life as it is (which is basically as feminine as I can be but still using my male equipment).  Neither of us has much desire to change that.

So i guess on to my questions...

1) Both of us would really kind of like it if my testicles were smaller (they are quite large, borderline large enough to have urology concerned, but everything is healthy).  At the same time we both also want large more sensitive nipples, she'd like to stop there, I wouldn't mine a tad bit of budding.  Since we both enjoy our sex lives, we also want everything to "keep working" though I already has a vas, so sterility is not an issue if I can still perform.

So does this fall into HRT?  I'm not looking to fully transition, we both like me being a blurred line right in the middle.  We'd like to find safe way to achieve the above goal, but want to be realistic and safe.  That desire for safety already has us discussing possible gender counseling, and we have no intent to start things on our own.  This is more a matter of we dont know what to ask or who to ask.  So any advice is great =D

2) I've done laser hair removal in the past (we did it together), and while things got thinner and softer they didnt fade much.  Have things changed in the last 10 years?  Is their advice on Laser vs Electrolysis - also i know newer lasers are out, any experience with one brand or frequency, or type being better than others?

Previously we did my chest and under arm.  But my wife really wants me to get my high thighs to belt line done, front and back (minus a triangle to still shave occasionally).  I really want my legs done but will happily do my two back patches first.   Any advice/experience on cost per area or cost for the whole thing?

Well that's it.  Seemed like best place to start. please let me know if im in the wrong area, or if you have any questions or other advise =D    Cheers!

Hi, SomeWhereINBetween!

Welcome to Susan's.

A full transition with SRS is not a requirement.  You can be trans and keep your parts.  However, HRT is likely to impair your libido and the functioning of the male parts.  Some people do retain some function, but it's hit-or-miss whether you will or not.  THis is stuff that you would discuss with a doctor prior to starting HRT.

Gender counselling is an excellent place to start, and is what I would recommend even if you hadn't suggested it.  In addition to clarifying your own goals, the therapist can help probably get you in contact with a doctor who has the proper qualifications.

Please feel free to stop by the Introductions forum to tell the members about yourself.  Here is some information that we like to share with new members:

Hiya,

From your description and username, you might be on the non-binary side of the spectrum, but time and HRT will determine if that is the case.

Some have maintained an androgynous shape/style through having an orchidectomy and just enough E to keep the dysphoria at bay (and avoid the potential for osteoporosis later in life), but before all of that, join in the conversations on the boards that you feel are interesting/ relevant, and enjoy this haven.
