One customer apologized though when he heared me speak. He was very embarassed.

I said it's ok. Maybe I should have said thank you instead? why do I always come up with better alternatives in hindsight

I am happy for you Tony...  the voice thing can many times be the biggest issue to overcome in transitioning.    Oh yeah... perhaps you might want to develop some rehearsed responses when and if that happens to you again.
