I said US 10 because that's where I start when trying stuff on.  What actually fits could be anything.

The problem with dresses is the proportions.  I am a large in tops and a medium in bottoms; dresses aren't shaped that way.  Plus I need something that will fit largish shoulders and itty biity titties, again an odd shape.  So, although I have a couple of dresses, I mostly stick with skirts and tops.

Nothing has changed in 14 months of HRT.

I think this poll is a bit skewed, or the measurements are incorrect, or using some size table, that I´m not familiar.

I answered size 38, meaning EU size, but I´m not sure if that´s the same as France/Italy sizes. According to this table my size is 38:

But with this poll, the option of size 38, is much much bigger...

With the poll options, my size is UK 10, but I have no idea where the France/Italy sizes come from, because UK 10 is EU 38.

Sizes are annoying!! I'm normally a 12... or a 14... or a 10... so annoying when I can't try them on in the shop!! :P

I think the fact that I have a very straight figure with a pretty small bum doesn't help the way dresses, skirts and jeans fit on me :/

Not really sure, have not bought a dress in over a decade.

Way back when, HRT did not make a difference in my size.

I was so scrawny at the beginning of my transition, that (at 5' 11") I could wear a size 8. Now, at 5' 10", I wear a size 12. The biggest difference is that I went from no body fat, to having curves.

I still wear the same dress size I did "pre-transition".  After 2 plus years, I think that it would have changed more...  🙄

Sizes are funny.  Both weird funny and ha funny.

I usually take a medium top or size 10-12. On pants I usually take a size 6/28, sometimes a 4.

Dresses are limited by top size, and simple stuff tends to hang oddly unless I add in a wide belt to produce a visual waistline.   I have had the best results from "structured" dresses, notably Calvin Kline, Tahari, and similar. These shape the fabric itself, and give me a reasonable silhouette in spite of the anatomical quirks.

Like others I haven't seen a huge change in gross dimensions from HRT. Waist is maybe 1 1/2 inches narrower, hips an inch wider, chest unchanged. However...  I lost 4 inches in band size while keeping that measurement constant, moving from 38AA to 34B. [emoji6]

Naturally the skeleton didn't change, so I still have those shoulders. I can get away with quite a bit if I am careful about the wardrobe, though.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

Top/dress usually US 12, sometimes 14. Bottom 8 or 10, or sometimes even 6. Sizes are bizarre.

I'm a size 2 but go down to a 0, which I find unattractive on me. I'm happiest and feel I look best at a size 2.

For those of us Transitioning from Male to Female what is your dress size, at the moment? Secondly, if you have been on HRT for more than 2 years has your size reduced or increased?

Interesting question.  I started out as a size US 8.  I could only dream of anything smaller.  Today I wear a US 6 in most things and US 4 in others.  My weight is within 2 pounds of what it was when I started HRT (even with the two pounds of silicone :) )  So that's telling me that the bulk of my broad shoulders is moving down to the lower region and specifically the hips.  Lord knows it's not going to the genitals.  (LOL)

According to friends in the garment business, women's apparel manufacturers in the U.S. frequently base their sizing on the target customer—the median figure getting a size 10. Thus, a size 10 in one market segment may be equivalent to e.g. 14 or 6 in others. The less expensive clothes tend to be larger for a given size, while the upmarket brands veer toward small.

In some other regions there are more stringent guidelines based on actual measurements that all manufacturers have to adhere to. The degree of enforcement varies...
